Not here.
I just recieved...ummm...a bunch of standard sized 510 E2 cartomizers and have a couple of questions.

Am I supposed to be pushing the teeny tiny plasic syringe "needle" all the way in, or am I supposed to be filling the beige colored thingy visible directly under the 3rd plug. I've been pushing it all the way in, and it seems to be working fine, but I just wanted to make sure.

AND

How would one go about cleaning one of these puppies?

I'm grateful for any help I can get!

I have the original version of these and have the ceramics on the way, just got out of customs so tomorrow or wed YAY. I clean mine by taking out the inner plugs and boiling for 5-10 min(initial cleaning) and rinsing out under hot water thereafter. Then shake out any residual water. Do a dry burn till the coil turn red(10 sec burns with a cool down in between should be fine). Add your liquid, replace the plugs and your set to go. NOTE: on the ceramics the ceramic cup needs to be in the center of the tube to get the plug back in properly, be patient when putting it in and use something that will apply uniform pressure to the plug as your putting it back in, like the eraser end of a new pencil.

Have a look at the thread about the C-E2 cartos here.

All the best,
Wing.

You can place the syringe in one of the tiny holes, its soft plastic and will let you push it in, push it all the way in fill it will juice.

you can also remove the inner cup but that might dislodge the centering of the cup and cause a leak..

all annoyance are dealt with for R4 which will ship out in a week or 2, most likely 2 weeks.
i also do somerefilling in my videos as well.

Thanks so much for the responses. I appreciate it!

I went ahead and pulled out the 3rd plug to see what was going on under there, and found both cleaning and filling much easier. Using a pencil eraser to push it back in was a great idea!

I don't think I would've continued using these if I had to use a syringe and that annoying plastic tubing "needle" every time I refilled. What a mess!

Thanks LynGBH for asking just what I also needed to know :D.
So glad I found this thread! I was just about to order some of the new ceramic ones in KR808d-1 style. I'm assuming they're very similar to the 510 inside. Glad to know they can be cleaned/boiled.

Does anyone have a general idea of how long they last before needing cleaned? I know YMMV is a huge factor in this but any info./experience would be of great help.

Gah!
I'm having a love/hate relationship with the CE2s. I love the fact that they don't have polyfill in 'em and the clean taste, but hate dealing with all the plugs, the nasty tasting primer and the leaking that occasionally occurs when filling.

I'm going back and forth between these and standard Boge cartomizers. Obviously, the CE2s taste better and the Boges are a lot less hassle to fill.

I guess they both have their place.
