Anyone know if any of our lovely Canadian vendors carry these?

How many you looking for IAMJoCanadian? I don't know any Canadian vendors that have them yet, but I have some of the 510 E2 XL ceramic cartos I could part with, will be at the post office on fri and could mail then for you. PM me if interested and will discuss price .

Wing and I participated in a little exchange. I have tried them and was not pleased with them. They need to be fine tuned I am not sure if there is different mfrs for these but they do seem to be inconsistent. I am glad I did not order any as I usually order in lots of 25.

Prelims are not favourable unfortunately, especially with the XL, a weird funky petroleum taste right from the start. I will give it a good hot water/alcohol enema and see if I can't get rid of it.

The Version 3 is better than the version 1, no doubt there. Quality of the V3 is obvious especially with thread engagement which is chalkboard nails with the V1.

I used the P18 and eGo for the test. Slightly better on the eGo than the P18. All metered at 2.5-2.6Ohms, which is expected from the eGo.

V1 = too airy, no flavour, no TH, good vapour production. Stress test 3 x 5 secs hits = pass, on all.

V3 = tighter draw, better flavour better TH, good VP.

V3 XL = tighest of 'em all, would prpbably fail the eGo, but inconclusive at this time.

Test parameters:

* filled to half capacity with dekang ry4/555 (my daily vape);
* half capacity = not wanting to waste juice;
* allowed to sit for 15 minutes before vaping;
* rested for 15 min between switching with the eGo. XL has not been attempted on eGo until it gets cleaned out;
* filled cartos (except XL) to capacity; and
* allowing cartos to rest until tomorrow. Then we will resume.

The stress test is what I was more or less interested in, and it passed. The remainder will come with use.

The big turn off is the petroleum taste of the XL. Not sure what is going on there, but I have never had bad attys is the past, and some were flooded with primer, which is supposed to be PG

Edit: I did not wash out the XL and simply tossed it. You cannot vape through it. The single fact that this occured increased my resolve to pass.

Good review Switched, and thank you for posting it. That's why I sent them to you was for a impartial review:toast:.
I noticed the taste and the need to clean them out prior to use myself. A vinegar soak, hot water soak, oven drying works well for me and received the wife's seal of approval(LOL).

BTW, the juice samples you sent me in exchange were really nice(made me cough LOL), and I liked version 2 best.

All the best,
Wing.

No problems Wing. I am glad I was able to try them out and put my curiosity to rest. The concept is good but the delivery needs lots of refinement. By delivery I mean the product from conceptual stages to actual final product.

Call me finicky but I have been spoiled with getting product that performs straight out of the box, not requiring a trip to the dishwasher first LOL.

#2 had a touch of clove added. In the beginning I thought that is what I tasted, it is not :( It's cinnamon... but there is something else there as well. I will send you off a sample when I fine tune it, I am so damn close.

I'm a carto user myself and I really don't like any of the E2 cartos.... ewwww the taste.... *note* only juice that worked so far (and by worked I mean you can't taste the *petroleum* hehe) is menthol.

I even tried the PCB mod they were doing and it's still not performing too well... I still have a few packs sitting here doing nothing ~.~ imo.... too much work to fix it.... not worth it =/

I also tried the E2 v2, nice flavor/vaper/TH IMHO they will be a Atomizer killer if they can perfect them. That being said, I will wait till they are called "ceramic cartomizers" with no revisions tags.

well the E2 - R4's are supposed to addrses all the issues from the past so maybe it'll end there??? I think these are great, I just hate filling them with a syringe

once a day syringe filling at home, beats dripping all day long where ever you are.

true... although I haven't tried the XL ones yet.. just the regular that holds slightly less than 1ml. I may get some XL to try and give em a try... too bad I missed Wing Commander's PIF post earlier :(

from what i have been reading(in that giant e2 tech post mainly) the last issue seems to be they burn juice at higher power, most of the die hards seem to be running at the 3.5 - 5 watt range.

... and that could very well be the issue. Even carts will burn the juice at HV as they cannot supply the atty quick enough and why folks drip. You are trying to feed a 4bbl carb with a 1/4 gas line where a 3/8 gas line or better is needed.

Compared to the originals the V3 was better at 3.7V for chain vaping so they are making progress... Most of the die hards seem to think that 10-12 watts is where it is at, not.

Edit: I believe you meant 3.5-5 volts and not watts.

Release 4 is in beta test phase, No unflavored liquid comes inside (some call it Primer) to keep the wick wet by delivering, so the CE2r4 is a pure product, no any taste can be traced anymore, we suggest by first time filling to have a few minutes patient to let it wick better.(TIP!).
The leaking has been traced and given solution, the options for Ohms has been adjusted, 3.3 Batteries like 808D1 (3.3V), 510 or M-series we suggest to use 2.4-2.6 Ohms and bigger batteries like 808D1 (3.7V) our VGO or MEGA bats with higher than 3.7 Volts 3.0 -3.2 Ohms for better performance. Lower Ohms gives more Vapor & Heating / battery last longer - Higher Ohms needs more battery Power and we suggest to order the XL versions for heating issues when use High voltage batteries.
Please Notice: our tests indicates when use the first time the CE2 with XL High nicotine the first puffs are different.

So there will be 3.0-3.2 Ohms version available for the version 4 E2s for us high voltage vapers. Quote is from the Royal Smokers web sight.
