Welp I'm dropping the money on a nice high-end mech mod.

Question is, which one? EA or the new nZonic v3?

I enjoy both a side and bottom pinky button, but the side ones suit me a little better for vaping in the truck. I can just set it in my cup holder until my next vape and be done, no locking or unlocking while I'm driving. BUT...the voltage drop in the EA is around 4% MORE than what the NZ offers.

Then getting into the switch...spring vs magnet. I have never tried a magnetic switch, but they sound like what the future of all switches will be, anyone have an opinion here?

Third, the telescoping and floating pin design. They both have both features, but I need to know that they fit these huge Orbtronic PD2900 18650s. They don't fit correctly in either of my mech mods I have now (main reason for buying a new mechy sooner than later) and I have already dented the bottom of one of them! Anyone have either mod and these batts to test this out?

They are both beautiful mods, and I have access to both atm. The are both very similarly priced with BOTH having different plus and minuses. I just can't figure out which one to go for, lol.

My main problem is the bottom button and drive vaping, but a 4% voltage drop for a side pinky button MAY not be worth the constant locking/unlocking during my rides.

TY FELLOW MINIONS, OPINIONS PLX!

i can only share my limited experience with what i have

the ea mod has been good to me, it hits very well and i dont' notice any drop if there is a drop, i never liked the look of those side buttons but i dont' mind it now, it's nice to just put the button against my palm, makes the mod feel shorter as well

the nzonic looks awesome and i was interested but after watch pbusardo's review last night it made me not want one, the top was the deal breaker, if i can't flush mount everything to the mod, then it's a no go....which leads to the next thing

what are you planning on putting on the device? for me i only use genny's at home which will sit flush on the nzonic but wont' drive around with them, if i'm driving i use a carto tank or a clearo and in that case i would go with the EA over the nzonic for looks of flushing mounting...or when or if i get a killer or diver for out of home vaping

so the nzonic may look better and if your using a genny all the time on it, then i think you'll have an awesome set up but if your into looks and using other things for out and about vaping i'd go with the ea

I don't imagine 4% voltage drop is something you will notice. What's the voltage drop on an Nzonic...I have no idea...but let's say it drops .4 volts then the EA drops an extra 0.02 of a volt...do you really think that makes a difference. Also, half of those tests are not done in the greatest manner or with clean contacts. So let's set that aside.

Now magnetic buttons...some are good and some are bad. Not sure about the nzonic's but it is pretty big which leads to

In 18350 the nzonic is bigger than the EA, so it will be that way going up in battery size. Not sure if it will fit the ncr2900pd. The EA does and I know that from experience.

Finally, EA's are around $170 shipped for the standard model and $185 shipped for the model with the adjustable air flow cap (a nice feature if you use certain atomizers) direct from the manufacturer and are always available. Nzonic's are about $195 plus shipping and are not as available. Maybe if you get the from myvape but that is whole other story/hassle. The classifieds prices on EA's are generally less than retail, Nzonic's at or above retail...related to availability.

So which should you buy...the one you want. Both are good mods. It depends on your needs/wants.

I'll give you my opinion based on what I did. As a brief point however, I really don't use mechs too often since I've stepped away from gennies - although this does not stop me from buying every single one I see and using it until I go back to regulated. I had an Nzonic v2 and v3. When it came time to part with most of my mechs (and there were too many to list) I was left with two at the end of the day:

An EA and a Roller. I had sold everything else that was unregulated. The Nzonics are really unbelievably beautiful, perfect work on them, never a miss, the button is fantastic but the EA was cheaper, easier to maintain, and just - well - did what it was supposed to.

Don't know it that'll help at all, but I figured it'd be worth mentioning.
