Here's my version of the recap for those who couldn't make it....
Though the group was small (9 with only 5 being vapers), I really enjoyed getting together this Saturday wth everyone. Bonnie & Clyde's is very laid-back with excellent pizza and cold beer. No one bothered us about
vaping there, though I'm told there were some raised eyebrows. (Had my back to the room) We held down a section of the room for almost 5 hours chatting away about everything from PV design to DIY recipes.
MacArthurBug was looking fashionable as always sporting various PVs that appeared mysteriously throughout the evening and a couple of new piercings. She and the kids are always fun to be around! She'll be sorely missed when they move to Germany. We're talking about doing some "web
vaping" with her from future meetings so that she'll always be part of the group.
PureVapes brought along mangos and mango juice among other goodies. He's quite the DIY mixer from the few I've sampled. (Can you say Irish Cream Danish?... Yummmmm!) Think I saw some of his infamous honey lager juice floating around as well. We're just waiting for him to put these goodies officially up for sale in the near future. He brought along his brother and is trying to get his father to come to the Sept Highland Games meet, making it a real family outing.
jynn worked out a swap with a co-worker to attend. She was sporting the cutiest pink eGo! She brought along some Koolada from Perfumer's Apprentice that we all had to try. It provides a "cold" mouth feel without adding additional taste. Very good find! PureVapes was especially interested in various uses of this magic elixer. She's quiet and quick (got out the door before I could say bye!), but I'm so glad she was able to make it and hope she enjoyed herself! (Promise next time that I'll bring some very low nic juice for you to try out.)
Big Easy and his wife rounded out the party. We discussed everything from
vaping at work to our kid's college plans. Think he and PureVapes were discussing the best checkout software for that upcoming juice site at one point. He's also getting very involved in DIY and gave me a sample of a wonderful strawberry and champaigne juice he'd whipped up! They are planning on joining us for the Highland Games as well and seeing if their sons would like come to. Next time though it's my treat!
We discussed possibly alternating meetings in Louisville and Lexington to try to help with the drive time. Big Easy mentioned a venue on this side of Louisville that offers not only a bar, but bowling and games... Can't remember the name now though. As you can see from the
member map, we're pretty spread out over the region. (This only includes those members who've either posted their location or have it listed in their profile, so a handful aren't represented.) Any suggestions would be welcome.
Anyway, hope that more of you can join us next time. I'll post a few pics from the meet later.
