Hi all. Well, it's been over 3 weeks ... free, and I think shinyitis is kicking in prematurely! Have a couple of evod bcc's and an aspire BCD which I'm generally happy with, but I think my (Chinese) batteries aren't that great. Once they are about half charged they just lose a lot of power, and have no oomph if you know what I mean. I seem to continually getting juice in the inside of the evods and so in my mouth, which I wonder is partly due to lack of battery power??
Any suggestions for battery upgrades?

I started vaping just over a month ago, started with an iTaste vv3 with an iClear 16 carto.

Once I got into this I bought a Mini Protank 2, and Aspire ET-S, both very nice.

Then I got on here and have since bought an MVP2 an iClear 30 and I've moved onto RBAs with a Kayfun clone.

This may turn out to be a hobby more than a way to quit smoking but even with all this and the e-liquid I've bought to go with them, I'm still spending less money than I used to on tobacco.

Jenpip. £14 iTasteVV could well be fake.

or did you mean Spinner? 95% of the Spinners on ebay with be clones.

- - -

1) iTaste VV are more than £11 wholesale. Anyone charging £14 is either a bad business man or sells fakes.
2) Genuine Vision Spinners are hard to acquire. Some genuine vendors can't get them - what hope has an ebay seller?

- - -

Why buy off ebay anyway? It's all "illegal" on ebay, so if something goes wrong, ebay won't help you.

I could get you a genuine iTasteVV (in an order from China) for about £16. You can buy one for £19.99 from a vendor and have some consumer rights for free! :) (well, £3.99 and delivery in 2 days....)

How long have you been using those batteries for?

When i made the move from cigalikes to ego-style batteries i got a Vgo2 kit from JAC Vapour. I dont buy anything from them now because of their lack of compatability with other items and their price, but the batteries seem to have barely lost any power since i bought them. Granted, i use other devices far more than those now, but still impressive how they have lasted.

The itaste vv3 djsvapour pointed out sounds like a good bet or if you have a bit more to spend maybe an MVP2, or if you have a lot more to spend a provari ;) (very expensive, but will last you forever!)

Ha, just ordered the vision spinner so I'll see how I get on! Have heard about and seen the price of the Provari's- they do look amazing though but I wonder if they are that much better to justify the price?!!

I think it depends on how much you can afford the £200 or so they cost. Personally, i think they are worth the money, mine has been excellent since i bought it last year. Great build quality and reliability plus a warranty and i think they look and feel great too. They do also make your juice taste better - Im not saying there is a big difference, and changing the coil or the topper will make more difference, but still there is a noticeable difference. I thought i was imagining this, but a lot of provari owners say the same and when the provari was tested and compared to other mods (i think it was a VAMO) the power supply you get from the provari is much smoother. So say you set it to 3.8V and hold the fire button for 10 seconds you will get a more or less constant 3.8V where as on the VAMO the power level fluctuates much more.

The semovar is another high end VV/VW device thats getting a lot of good reviews and i think you can get the base kit for about £140 on cloud 9 vaping, although they havent been around as long as provaris so its hard to say whether they are as reliable just yet.

I HAVE spent the equivalent of a Provari on inferior mods. I should have bought one straight away.

2 x evics buys 1 x Provari. An evic could last 4 months or 2 years. Either way, Joyetech won't repair it or even honour the 6 month warranty.

For somebody looking for a reliable mod that IS repairable and will last years, not months, it's a total no-brainer.

Rewick your bcc coil with cotton;
first dryburn the coil with the silica wick still in it so as to clean off the gunk;
then with a tweezers tug at a strand and start shreding off a silica wick strand; it will start coming apart, and as it loosens more and more will come out;

then take some loose cotton and twist one end to thread through the coil to get it started; once you get one end through you can pull gently through;

the cotton doesn't have the leaking problem that silica wick has; so far in my experience; plus easy to replace cotton wicks. The cotton expands; with silica, it's like you have to stuff more silica in is you want to stop a leak, but then it wicks too slow and gives burnt taste.

I bought my evic before doing enough research and it's lasted maybe 6 months although the problem is just that the threads stripped on the 510 connector. It may be that you can buy a new connecting thread, but i havent seen one - just a new control head which isnt far off the price of a new evic anyway, so seems pointless. Terrible pricing when compared to VAMOS and MVPs, etc.

I treated myself to a Semovar for Christmas, Time will tell on the reliability but like the Provari it is a very smooth vape when I compare it to my other two mods. I was a bit nervous about spending that much on vaping kit but so glad I did as it is a beautiful piece of engineering.

I use all three of my mods every day, my Vamo I vape when working, this is about 18 months old and has been great value for money, I have used it so much it has worn the coating off the casing and button and is still going strong, I can highly recommend the Vamo as a budget mod unlike the Lavatube I had before it that packed up after only three months.

My other mod is a mechanical Hcigar hammerhead, I vape this on my breaks and whilst driving, I have only had it one week but so far it is on par with the Vamo.
