I like my ProVari so much I got 3 Mini's, 2 for my parents and one for a friend.

Now my parents are the problem, I got them what I use and the only thing I know, 510 DCT tanks with Smoktech Cartos. They seem to be having a little trouble refilling their tanks.
I see Viva Nova tanks unscrew from the top and the Kanger bottom coil tanks fill from the drip tip. But how hard is it to change atomizer coils and wicks for "not so young people"?

Was thinking maybe just giving them some non punched Cartos and let them just drip when needed but was scared if they think its a pain in the .... to keep filling all day they might go back to smoking.

Just like to find a easy system for seniors to use. Any advice would be appreciated! :)

The Bella tank and the Bonita tank are very easy to fill. The top cap is one piece so you just pull it off and fill.

Bella tanks from Hoosier Vapes do have an easy-to-remove top cap for filling. They simply twist off the tube. However, these tanks are popular, not always in stock, and are more on the expensive side ($50 each).

Cartotanks do have a slight learning curve. The most difficult part is learning to prime the cartomizer properly with enough e-liquid. Refilling the tanks are relatively easy if a tank filling tool like the Slap Yo Moma is used. Baditude's Cartotank Setup Guide

Top coil clearomizers are probably the easiest juice device to fill with e-liquid. Just unscrew the top cap and add juice, and put the cap back on. Changing the coil heads can be a little more difficult, but something that an elderly person can learn to do themselves. I recommend the Innokin iClear 30 clearomizers for a Provari. They use a 510 connection and have a 3 ml capacity. I use them nearly as much as my cartotanks, and the flavor/vapor production is nearly as good as the cartotanks.

I've got a Vivi Nova (Mini) and filling it couldn't be easier; as mentioned, just unscrew the top and fill 'er up.

I'm a newb and I don't know whether there are easier clearos to refill, but I can say that the eGo-CC is a total PIA. It's filled from the bottom, using a needle tipped bottle placed into the small hole at the bottom of the tank. It sounds easy, but in practice I often difficulty, especially if i'm in a rush, and the e-liquid ends up draining through the air slots and dripping out the mouthpiece. I get annoyed thinking about how much liquid has been wasted, and more often than not at this point i remove the white plastic seal from the tank, and fill it that way.

Regards
Glenn

Lots of good dieas. This is the tank I used with cartos- has a side screw for filling and not the prettiest gal in class but worked quite well. Also liked it cuz it was very easy to equalize the pressure when needed.

There's also a tank called the Texas Tuff but some reported leaking issues.
But how hard is it to change atomizer coils and wicks for "not so young people"?
I have a number of older converts and I usually prefill a number of clearos or cartos- enuff to last them a couple of weeks...could even do enuff for a month as long as you cap the cartos. Now it's gotten to the point where a number of us meet and some are beginning to "do their own thing".

So what do you mean by "not so young people"?

I'm 57, I think, well will be in a couple months, anywho, I've been vapping for 5+ months, do my own builds and DIY juice, change my own oil too. lol

Think on of the best tanks out there for performance ease of use is the Aspire Vivi Nova BDC tank. you can push this baby up to 15 watts and it will handle it.

I have the Russian, easy to build, for a not so young person, a Terminator-C R/A tank, a bit tougher to build for any age person, and looking into a Fogger GT and a SQuape.

Not really recommending these to anyone real new to vaping, unless you are interested in rba's and can make things with you hands. And follow the standard safety precautions. But more to point out us more mature persons can do things that would surprise the no so mature people.

Give the Aspire BDC a look, it's only $10 and is the next best thing to an rba. Plus has changeable heads, that looks like people, even of the young persuasion, could handle.

Agree 100% that if someone has gone to a carto-tank that a filling tool is a must. The Slap-Yo-Momma device is solid and incredibly functional.

It's less "fiddly" than the DCT filling tool.
sb_dct_refill_tool.gif
which sometimes requires a tilt or some encouragement to get liquid into the tank.

The DCT tool is a "uni-tasker" (to borrow the phrase from Alton Brown), it's only use is to fill/top tanks. The Slap Yo Momma is a "dual-tasker" because in addition to being a filling tool, it is also of GREAT function and help when inserting/replacing cartos. You insert it into the carto, and use it as a "guide" to insert the carto into the tank. With it in place, the leading edge of the carto is covered and is FAR less likely to damage seals or o-rings as you slide it into the tank.

A "triple-tasker" is the slim-and-long drip tip.

It's a filling tool, a carto-insertion aid, and a drip-tip to boot. Being longer than most tips, if someone is looking for a cooler vape, it's not a bad option.

Hypertank 5 ml is pretty damn easy to fill. It's a BCC tank but it's much wider than a protank II. Unscrew the base and the gap from the centre post to the edge is twice as wide as the protank so it's super easy to fill and less chance of getting fluid down the centre pipe. At 5ml will need less filling too. Draw is good and smooth although a bit light on the throat hit. I wouldn't recommend cartos for a newbie person due to all the priming of the carto.
