EC Blend for beginners

Hi. Been using a Vapor4Life dial-a-volt vaporizer for about a week and a half and am excited about my transition from cigarettes. Was researching natural and organic e-liquids and came across EC Blends. Searching reviews I came across this forum and wanted to ask some questions, but I'm new so I couldn't just reply to the EC Blend forum that's already running.

Main question: Anyone with experience using their 100% VG liquids? The liquid I've been using doesn't label the ratio but when I called the company they say it's roughly 70%PG and 30%VG, and I find the liquids I've started with to be a little harsh and thin. I've done lots of research now about the PG/VG ratios and I know I'm looking for something with a higher VG count. Any stories to impart on this new vaper? Thank you, I hope being restricted to the beginner forum doesn't cut me off from getting good feedback.

I don't have any experience with ec blends but if you go higher vg it should produce more vapor and less throat hit possibly less flavor as well. The biggest thing to keep in mind is what delivery device you are using it with. If it isn't able to cope with the thicker liquid you would have to thin it out with some distilled water which will dilute the flavor more.

Hi billythemountain, I ordered twice from ECBLEND in June/July and they are a good company. You can sample many different PG/VG ratios and get a feel for what you like best for cheap. Also, you can try extra flavor- which i did and liked. 50% Vg is the most I ever did and I don't really like that much VG. Good luck

I use 100% Vg but I vape at around 36mg so the nic adds the throat hit. In my opinion 100% Vg works better at lower temperatures
I usually vape a 2.4Ohm Kanger at between 3.9-4.2 but above 4.4 it starts to taste burnt.

I make my own [Diy] with Organic Flavorings, Organic VG and Base from Wizard Labs. After two years I developed an allergy to PG and artificial flavors so I have no choice but to vape 100% VG.

Sikko is correct, I dilute my liquid with purified water to get the proper consistency.

ec blends has become my goto supplier and i too prefer high vg juice. i've been ordering the 'reduced pg' ratio and it has been working well for me. the great thing about ecblends is you can vary different ingredients: extra shot of flavor (even a separate flavor), more sweetener, etc.

their prices too are fantastic. never had an issue with them and i would highly recommend their product.

I am curious about this ECblend, Just looked on their site and wow they have tons of flavors to choose from where do i start! can anyone recommend me any?
Dragons Blood is my favorite if your into the fruity flavors. If you into tobacco I would try the ry4. The best thing about ecblend is they are so cheap and you can order 5ml sample bottles starting at $2.50.

I really like Dragon's Passion blend & Peach Cantaloupe for fruity flavors. I get double extra flavor though. Personally, I think their flavors tend to be a bit bland otherwise. But those are my taste buds, yours may be more sensitive.

Browse the ECBlends for what others liked and recommend. The ones I mentioned are a ejuice staple for me.

They offer small "sampler" bottles for a good price to explore their offerings without breaking the bank.

Oh...and welcome to ECF. Bunch of friendly and helpful people here along with a wealth of information. :)

Is a 50/50 blend of PG/VG a good start?
its a safe bet...i would order several samples with varying pg/vg ratios, differing flavors and even nic levels...

have to second the recommendation for the dragon series...except for the dragons milk which is all cinnamon as far as i can tell...

I will also put in a vote for Dragon's Blood, nice fruity flavor but not too sweet.

On a side note, does your user name refer to the Billy from Frank Zappa ?

Billy was a mountain. Ethel was a tree growing off of his shoulder... hahahahahahahahha That's awesome that you caught that.

Really great responses from everyone, thanks for coming thru. My device is a Dial-a-Volt that lets you regulate how much power you use from 3.3v to 4.8v. Does anyone think given the device I have that I should go for having some pg in there so I don't clog anything? I'm gonna check out the other liquid providers you guys recommended. Thanks.

I have a 1300mah D-a-V and use 50/50 or 60/40 blends with no issues. Using dual coil or lower ohm carts seems to help avoid clogging as well. With 1.7 ohm dual coil Mega XLs I keep the voltage low (3.2), with dual coil 2 ohm XLs (3.8), and single coil 2.5 and above (4.3-4.8). As long as you keep them wet you won't fry them.
