Hey guys, another collaberation needed for this one!

The forum has now been going for nearly nine months. In that time we've come a long way on this e-cigarette journey. I expect many here will remember posts that they found particularly interesting or provoking.

Sadly, the nature of a bulletin board is that all threads eventually disappear into the dark nether-regions of old posts, often times never to be seen again.

In light of that, I'd like you all to suggest at least one or two threads that you think stand the test of time, and you think visitors or newer members could benefit from reading. They can come from any of the forums except the review section or the diy-liquid section.

Thanks as always to all of you who make this forum such an excellent resource and friendly place to be.

I will kick off with a recent one from TB.

also i see the tagging system at the bottom but i am not sure how it is used. can i tag any thread i read or only if i started it? i do like the star-rating system, though i have not yet used it and am also unsure how it works, but it should proove to be a method to discern the best threads.

Give it a go, see what happens!

From memory you should be able to tag any thread you like.

The star rating system is problematic since it calculates an average from the ratings input by users. Clearly this isn't a problem on a big board where lots of people use it, but right now for us, it only takes one person to give it 5 stars and - hey presto - you have a 5 star rated thread.

The alternative is to create an arbitrary threshold of numbers of ratings that must be reached before it displays the average number of stars.

I have kept it at 1 since the board started, basically so that people know it is there. perhaps I should bump it up to 2 now....

I love the idea of turning relevant posts into stickys with some organization. Like lordrek said, there are some great instructional care and mod vids that would be nice to have quick access to.

There could also be stickies for the supplier's for care and ingrediants. Some suppliers suggest different things for cleaning and it would be good to get their take listed in their supplier thread as well as juice/cart ingrediants.

I am fairly new here and i have spent so much time reading. probably 75% of the read has yielded good information but to have all of it organized in stickies would be great.

It also might be good to start a "rec" method of voting for new posts of relevance to achieve sticky status.

Also for folks that do regular reviews would it at all be possible to start individual stickies for their video reviews? I find that i strongly agree with some of the folks doing reviews while i dissagree with others. It would be nice to simpily click one thread and look at what some of the reviewers have available for us to see.

All of this being said, i think this board has a huge wealth of information. Thanks to all of you that have taken the time to dig up information and supply the public with your findings. Great community you got here!

With 321 posts and almost 12,000 views I would pick the thread that introduced the EVO as it prompted lots of discussion, questions and, I think, 'inspired' other suppliers/manufacturers into offering improved products.
Although it was not a review, many ecigs were compared/rated using the EVO as a benchmark and indeed igetcha69's review and maintenance guides must have played a part in the success of Intellicig with over 18,000 viewings, which has also helped a lot of newcomers feel confident enough to take up vaping. Any company that can be selling over 10,000 units per month within 5 months of launching the product has to be doing something right.

I was actually just thinking about all the great information I have found here but it also made me think about the last 4 or 5 days I have been reading non stop here.

This place needs to put up some opensource wiki script so we can organize all of this information into a better resource. You could call it Smoke-e pedia.

Nooo- Nonsmoke-e-pedia. ....Unsmoke....vapor-e-pedia....Imitationsmoke-e-pedia...
