I took a round trip from Albuqueque to Orlando last week - had the e-cigs in both carry on and checked bags. In Albq the screener asked - do you have e-cigs in there - yes - and so no problem. It surprised me both that he saw them and that he knew what they were. And he said he saw three - which there were.
In Orlando they did not seem to notice the e-cigs. Or at least they made no mention.
We had a layover in Huston so each leg of the flights was under 2 hours so no need to vape as I would do that in the restroom before we left on each flight.

Enough of us vapers fly so most screeners know what they are. Last week when flying out of the Netherlands they looked at the screen and pointed and I stated they are electronic cigerettes. They let the bag pass then a screener asked if she could see one. Not for security reasons she wanted to know if they worked. I proceeded to take about 5 big blasts and about 4 screeners (who were smokers) all took down names of the units and wanted to know how to buy them. I fly often and to many countries and have never had a problem. Let's hope it stays that way!!!! Happy vapes.

I flew to Utah a month or so ago with my infinity in my purse, no questions asked in Salt Lake, nor at Midway. I left my Chuck in the car at Midway before takeoff because the hubs said it looked like a homeade pipe bomb. Luckily my Infinity held me over during the trip. I was, and still remain, shocked that no one even asked what my Infinity was. Admittedly, I would have liked to explain so long as it didn't result in a confiscation. I think there are more vapers about than even vapers realize. So many of us stealth when there's a question that others never see evidence that they are not alone, but airline baggage inspectors must be aware of it or they'd ask what the heck that thing is in our bags.

I flew from Thailand - London - Scotland with 30 e-cigs in my checked in luggage (2 bags). 15 of those mods were multi mods which have the battery wired inside. No questions asked.
On return i had several new mods and loads of batteries in my checked in luggage and nothing said. I had 2 mods in my checked in luggage with 2 spare batteries and not even a squeak from security which seemed pretty thurough. I travelled British Airways and they state lithium battery limit at 8gms of lithium. I checked and 1 standard 18650 battery contains around 0.6gms of lithium. Maybe i was lucky but i did have a printed copy of their lithium battery restricyions with me to be on the safe side.
