Ecigs are great but struggling with setup

Hi all, great forum!

I started using an ecig 4 weeks ago now and haven't smoked since. It's been a great experience and it's nice to see so many people moving away from cigarettes.

I started using the Skycig kit, which introduced me to ecigs but found that the battery life a real pain. So I've moved to a Jacvapour ego2 kit with 900mah batteries and tanks. Amazing difference and ideal for my needs. BUT...I have some ongoing leaking issues with my tanks.

I have used 4 x tanks now, which are the clear type (possibly CE4) each one seems to pool onto the battery and gurgles away. I get good smoke, but I'm constantly cleaning the battery and losing a lot of liquid. I have been on Youtube, searched Google and tried all of the tips provided, but still they seem to leak.

I'm hoping that joining this forum I can be educated on the correct use of these ecigs and enjoy the experience even more. Maybe also provided with information for alternative tanks.

Thanks in advance

Howdy!!

I'm new too, just over 2 mos on ecig w/out an analog. I started w/a v2cig 808 n moved up, up an away. lol. I now use a joye ego and have several kanger t2's (never had a leak yet, knock wood) and a vision vivi nova (no leaks yet, knock wood). As I'm kinda new also I don't have much experience, but you could try those. My next non e-liquid purchase is going to be the new kanger t3's. I've heard nothing but good about them. Hope this helps and keep on vaping.

They look like similar tanks, what makes them different from the ones I'm using, are they a better design? Do you think it could be something I'm doing wrong? It seems unusual that all 4 are doing the same thing.

I'd like to use a tank that requires very little upkeep, hopefully the type you suggest could be what I need. Frustrating that I have to buy more tanks though, you'd expect them to work as stated :(

The Mini Vivi Nova is a GREAT setup...
The rebuildable Vivi Nova comes with 3 heads (coil+ wick) that can be cheaply and easily replaced. When the head burns out simply unscrew the old head out and screw in new head- takes 10 secs. My heads are lasting about 4 weeks BUT I wash the heads every few days. I've found the Vivi Nova to give the best draw.

Yes. The 2.8 ohms will not work very well but the 1.8 is a warm vape and the 2.4 a cooler vape.
type b plinth
What's that? Link?

OK folks I've put a mini vivi nova kit in my basket and type b plinth. Is this all I need to run one of these tanks with my current battery?

Thank you so very much Chrissie

Hello & welcome Downhillmonkey :)

The Jacvapour you have bought is a good e-cig but it's a KR808D fitting so not compatible with the 510 parts that most good UK vendors sell.

Edit as crossed posts - the mini nova will not fit your jacvapoyr battery.

YW Vapoor my friend :)

No Downhill that again wont fit on your Jacvapour Kr808D battery, it's a plinth, not an adapter.

Can you post a link to exactly which Jacvapour you bought? If it's a manual kit you can use a 901 - 510 adapter for some 510 cartomisers, but if it's an auto battery, the adapters don't work due to air flow.

Sorry crossed post. Its an auto :(

Was so wishing you had said it wasn't the auto :( Tried to help several others in the UK find an adapter that works with KR808D autos & had no luck :( Jacvapour have been contacted about the issue & all they can do is agree that they also can't find an adapter for their auto batteries :(

Kicking myself now really as the whole experience is different than smoking so didn't need the auto. But I've got two now and can't go buying anymore. I guess I'll just have to put up with the leaking, which is putting me off the kit. I did email the company and they supplied another tank, but that is the same. Just can't seem to work out what is going wrong, if anything. Thanks all for the advice.

Always feel bad about posting one post straight after another, but really want to try to help.

I've looked at the kit you bought & can't quite work out what type of tank system comes with it. But it might be worth you trying these Boge cartomisers - scroll down to Kr808D ones. -

Ah, that link helps so much Downhill - was scratching my head after looking at the Jacvapour site to work out what you meant by tanks :D

The ones in your link look very much like an 808 version of the 510 Vision Egos :) So re them leaking, the mouth piece may be loose, it's hard to see but they have a tiny thread, so need screwing in & not just pushing in.
