Ecigs causing throat to be sore?

I have been vaping for about a year now. I have noticed that my throat gets sore a lot. A lot more than it did when I smoked. vaping makes it hurt worse.

I know that cigs have chemicals in them that numb you, but it kind of feels like vaping is making my throat hurt. It feels raw and hurts to swallow. It mainly hurts to vape, though.

Maybe it is just a coincidence. I was thinking that maybe vaping hurts more than smoking did because lack of chemicals. I also wonder if it is because of bad wicks or juice. Or from chain vaping.

Just curious if anyone else has experience with this. Thanks!

Have you increased water intake? Have you gone through the process of narrowing down which ingredient could be causing you issues? Most people who have sore throat issues find it easier once they figure out the cause.

There are soooo many things that could be causing it. Did you do a "sore throat" search? They're pretty much all covered on those threads. But, voltage, ohm resistance, top-coil clearomizer, dual coils (or combinations of all these,) juice contents (cinnamon, pepper, citrus, etc), allergies, dehydration to name a few.

sounds like you may be developing a sensitivity to your juice... what is your PG/VG ratios? nic levels? and who are you buying from?

Hello Try picking up some 100% VG e liquid. It could be a lot of things, but that's a start. PG really makes my throat sore, and I very rarely use liquids that contain it.

Haven't been purely digital for as long as you, but it happens to me to.
I'll find it helps me personally to lower the nicotine level!

I'm in the process of switching to all VG because "throat hit" is just "scratchy throat ouch" to me now.

I usually vape 50/50 with 24mg nicotine. I recently went down to 18mg with no problems. I got juice recently that's 60pg/40vg and I think it's causing some issues. Not totally sure but I think so! Throat hit is very important to me, and I'm very sensitive to it. If I get juice that doesn't produce a throat hit, I freak out.

No matter what levels, or what setups, I have encountered this problem off and in throughout my vaping experience. Perhaps it is from dehydration because I don't drink near as much water as I should and I chain vape more than I should. It just tastes so good! Thank all of you for being so helpful!!

try Drinking more water, go back to 50/50 and try some citrus juices. the TH is better on those.

I'm a chain vaper and was getting mouth burn, vapers toung,and soar throat. I increased my water intake and stopped drinking pop! No problem now. Maybe that will help? I can really tell now when I'm getting dehydrated.

Amazing advice!! Thank you! Blueberry juices are my favorite for some reason. I am going to try more citrus stuff tho!
