Hey, I find my atomisers never last more than a week or two. I'm not talking about disposable ones, I've tried a whole range of very expensive ones. I feel this is too often to be buying new ecigs, and it's a nuisance, every time one dies, I have to switch back to cigarettes until my next one arrives. I thought I'd try the models that can be deconstructed so that just the atomiser element can be replaced at a much lower cost. But this hasn't worked so well. They seem to purposely make the replaceable ones worse. The replacement atomisers (bought from liberty flights among a host of other websites) last me just three days if I'm lucky. I'm also nervous about buying in bulk from china incase none of them work and I struggle to get my money back.
Any advice...?
Why do my atomisers die so fast.. is this normal?
(note; I do vape heavily as it is the only way I keep myself away from cigarettes)
(In my experience, the unreliability of ecigs is the only thing preventing them from being the solution to smoking addiction. When they work they truly represent an effortless means of quitting smoking)

Thats why i changed to rebuildables originally, the shortness of life, and the cost of the c4 heads was too much ...hence i learned to build coils...originally started with the humble vivi nova heads, and have since moved on to devices like the Expromiser atomizer and dripping atomizers ( which are certainly easier to recoil in comparison to the fiddliness of vivi nova heads ... the cost is way reduced, just the price of wire and some cotton.

The liquid is mostly the culprit in atomizer demise. Dark or sweet liquids tend to cause more coil deposits. However, there are some coils that perform better than others. Rebuild-able atomizers are a much better route for those that get tired of buying coil heads.

FYI, always have a backup of everything so you don't have to resort back to cigarettes.

Another idea is to buy a (clone) rebuildable atomizer and maybe even premade wires from fasttech.

You need AAEC UK actually. Google it. Find me. :)

Where do you get the expromiser? and how long do you find one coil lasts (in relation to amount of eliquid vaped per day)... ?

also glad to see the AADC UK. will sign up there too.

Could you tell me what BVC stands for and elaborate on Aspire BVCs in general.. ?

cheers

There are a lot of models out there that weren't meant to be rebuild.

But anything that can be put together, can be taken apart.
And - thanks to the ingenuity of fellow vapers - the how-to can be found on you tube :)

Had the same probs at the beginnging of my vaping experience: lowly ego-T didn't last very long.
Replacing the whole atty every so often ate into the budget. Switched to clearos.

Today, any 'sealed system' where I can't get to the innards without breaking it is a no-buy for me. Regardless of any rave reviews or swooning critics.
I know, that's exactly the systems BT would have us to buy. Sorry, no sale :)

Ok, re-building an iclear16 is beyond my fine motorics ;) . So I buy replacement heads.

Gotten a lot of mileage out of single coil clearos with just a strand of wire and a bit of wicking. Thanks to YT :)

Ordered some new ones today though and trying to get her on a ce5 that arrived today.
ah just because its the first you tried does not make it the best or the worst i keep saying.

Myself I use a nautilus and replacement bvc's I have 4 I have been rotating and just one i tossed out.

Same reason I got my first Kayfun here ^^^^^. Went from spending 10-15 a week on coils down to less than that for cotton and wire in 2 months.

Has she tried any bottom changeable coil clearomizers? They are so much better than those top-coil CE4s...

Just a suggestion. She might enjoy a Kanger T3s or en eVod.

Well, for one thing, they come with replaceable coils--you don't have to buy a new clearomizer every time the coil gets dirty or old. :D

And you don't have to work against gravity while you vape--the idea to force the juice to flow upwards to reach the coil was not a good one. ;)
