I've gotta agree with wreimer and everyone else that said this at least a step in the right direction. I would love to be able to buy
e-liquid in a variety stores some day or a $10 e-cigarette, even if it was complete garbage, in case of an emergency. Around Toronto probably 1 out of every 5-10 non-chain corner store sells an e-cigarette kit, most even have a few posters in the window ! I've seen the smokestik and hdsmoke kits I think, like other people said. I've went in an asked and they're always $25-50 and $10-25 for 10 cart refills. I'm pretty sure at least some stores sell nicotine cartridges as well, but as someone said tons of varieties sell illegal cigarettes or dvds as well. I've seen the health e-cigarette that dealextreme sells for $7 for $50 at a hastymart in Kitchener as well as kits in other cities. So it seems like every semi-large city around here sells some junk e-cigarettes.
I've gotta say, these are ALL junk .. and it is a bit bad for the
vaping impression, but I think common sense should come into the picture too. Who would expect any electronic at a variety store to be good quality ? I would never expect that, I expect it be overpriced, cheaply made junk.
Personally I read about e-cigarettes, I looked at prices and then when I was making an order for something else I bought a $5 e-cigarette from dx and I knew it would be junk, but I got the general idea and stopped smoking for a day a few times in a couple weeks using it.
So overall, I think getting the idea out there and having people realize and research a bit will get way more people
vaping then the number that would be totally turned off the idea. Plus there is always the faint hope that will lead to quality kits being sold in retail stores.
