,,,,,So Canadian venders, when I google smoke nv, why don't your sites show up on page one?:laugh: I'm not a web designer guy, but I thought it used to be that site designers could manipulate things to get their sites to show up on other related searches with key word additions or such like that?

They are called Meta Tags and even with the most expertly crafted Tags, it takes a very long time to get indexed in the sea of information called "Google," let alone get page 1 listing!

I've gotta agree with wreimer and everyone else that said this at least a step in the right direction. I would love to be able to buy e-liquid in a variety stores some day or a $10 e-cigarette, even if it was complete garbage, in case of an emergency. Around Toronto probably 1 out of every 5-10 non-chain corner store sells an e-cigarette kit, most even have a few posters in the window ! I've seen the smokestik and hdsmoke kits I think, like other people said. I've went in an asked and they're always $25-50 and $10-25 for 10 cart refills. I'm pretty sure at least some stores sell nicotine cartridges as well, but as someone said tons of varieties sell illegal cigarettes or dvds as well. I've seen the health e-cigarette that dealextreme sells for $7 for $50 at a hastymart in Kitchener as well as kits in other cities. So it seems like every semi-large city around here sells some junk e-cigarettes.

I've gotta say, these are ALL junk .. and it is a bit bad for the vaping impression, but I think common sense should come into the picture too. Who would expect any electronic at a variety store to be good quality ? I would never expect that, I expect it be overpriced, cheaply made junk. :p

Personally I read about e-cigarettes, I looked at prices and then when I was making an order for something else I bought a $5 e-cigarette from dx and I knew it would be junk, but I got the general idea and stopped smoking for a day a few times in a couple weeks using it.

So overall, I think getting the idea out there and having people realize and research a bit will get way more people vaping then the number that would be totally turned off the idea. Plus there is always the faint hope that will lead to quality kits being sold in retail stores.

I sure am glad i stumbled across this site last october when i was about to buy the smoke nv kit.
I probably wouldn't be vaping right now if i had bough it.

I wish I had before I bought my first kit! $40 spent on a kit that could have been spent on better equipment! Not that I regret it! It was a start!

This forum has been a huge help for me, as I'm sure it has been for so many others! Tons of information and hooked me up with my favorite vendor! :)

My husband brought home a disposable nv e-cig from Sobey's one night for me to try. Didn't work at all, so I googled it to find other varieties out there and found ecf. I did continue to smoke until I got the information needed and quit after I got my first kit in the mail. It was a success for me because that quick search led me here :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I first heard about "e-cigarette" at a neighborhood drugstore. He was selling a kit for $80, but encouraged me to look on the net. ~~ It was love at first sight lol but it took me a couple of months to order -- and this was due to banking. My banker got me a prepaid Visa, and we set up a separate account so if somebuddy tries to rip me off, there's only enough money in the account to cover purchases. And no more. ~~ It's actually an enhanced? debit card, so it works good too for e transfer payments. ~~~
Ah but I digress. LOL. I think the main advantage of 'junk' e-cigarettes is to get the word out, and to let it be known that there's something in between analogs. And nothing.
~~~~~~~~~ The internet kinda spooked me for a day or 2 with bans and warnings until sites like this uh educated me. (ty)

The issue of smoking has been beaten and dragged thru the bowels of human discussion for so long that I was indeed relieved to learn I could get nicotine ejuice and ecigarette supplies right here in Canada. From the net.

I have not purchased the cheapos at retails stores but make a point of remembering where I see them less I should forget my vapes at home when I'm out. ~~ ~~~ ~~~~
