I everyone, I hope that you are all doing good today.
I'm new here in this forum, but have been reading different post here and there for a while. I find this to be a friendly atmosphere and a great source of knowledge.
I am also new to vaping, but love it. I find it a much better choice then smoking. I started smoking way back when smoking was actually "cool" and not the evil thing it is today. With that being said, I have made some attempts to stop smoking here and there and was down to 1 or 2 cigs a day when I started on the whole vapor thing, but to be honest, as crazy as it sounds, I enjoy smoking and find it relaxing. So vaping for me is perfect, I can get the sensation of smoking without the extreme health risks involved with traditional cigarettes.
Okay, to make a long story short, I got an ECigsbrand Starter Kit and it only came with one bettery which I'm still using but know it won't last forever. I looked on their website and could not get any info on what kind of battery they are. Their site does have em, but they are over $30 for just one standard battery. I know I can find less expensive replacements but I'm not sure what kind/type I need. Any help that anyone can give me on this will be greatly appreciated.
I look forward to reading and learning much more on this site.
Have a great day one and all. :vapor:

Going to ecigsbrand.com, it seems those are what's called "cigalikes"... they're small batteries designed to look like a real cigarette, and you have to buy prefilled cartridges. Now, what I don't know, is if it's a standard sized cartridge or their own proprietary one. You'll have to do some research to see if they can be connected to anything else.

Now, that being said, do they last long enough for you or do you find yourself waiting for them to be recharged? Cigalikes are very popular for people starting, but the biggest complaint is that the batteries don't last long. If they last long enough, there's no need to get anything else, and you're considered a light vaper. If you need more, just let us know.

one easy way to find out, is see if you can get to a local Vape shop. Bring your cigalike, and see if they recognize the connector. It could be what's called a 510 connector. If it is, then most batteries will work. If it's propriatary, you're stuck buying Ecigsbrand cartridges and batteries unless you find something on the "standard" size.

And congrats on the switch. I've quit smoking for over a year... don't want to go back either. :)

Did you enroll in one of their refill programs?

Membership Terms and Conditions:
If I enroll in the refill Membership program I am agreeing to be charged $99.99 in 15 days for the kit I received plus a 10-cartridge refill pack, and 79.99 +S&H each 30 days thereafter for a new 10-cartridge refill pack. My credit card will be billed and my shipment will be sent automatically at those times. Refill shipments will continue until I call to cancel my Membership at 1-866-830-2464, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I understand that my starter kit has a retail value of $99.99. If I cancel my membership but do not return the starter kit, I will be charged for its full value.

If so, cancel ASAP. There seems to be a lot of complaints online about them.

The problems with these "best e-cigarette in the world" places is... they aren't. You can't bet on them being compatible with anything, as a lot of them are really cheap China setups with a slick label stuck on them. You pay a lot for the packaging. What's in there? More likely it's RN4081, 401, or 600 threading. They aren't about to tell you that - or if it's reverse polarity either. They want you stuck buying only from one place - them.

What I'm getting at is: It got you started so that's good, but at that price for a single battery it's time to run away screaming. If you wanted to stay with cigalike's even, you could get an entire 2 battery Joyetech kit with your choice of auto or manual 510 threaded batteries, 2 standard 510 threaded atomizers, 5 refillable cartridges and a charger - all for $35.00. Don't like the atty/cartridge setup it comes with? We could point you to at least 100 different places you could buy compatible cartos or mini clearos to work with those batteries.

One of your first bottom lines when looking at this stuff: You need to know that threading number. The biggest share of e-cig products have 510 threading. If a place doesn't tell you what threading their devices use - that's the stuff you don't want to buy.

Here, this is the kit I'm referring to, just to give you an idea of the price difference between what that place is asking and what you can really get for your money: https://www.cignot.com/product_p/kit-510-nbx.htm

Not saying I recommend cigalike stuff in general but this does give you an idea of what is a good price and what isn't.

...fine, I'll like your other post Rick. :)

One thing Rick forgot to mention. When you go 510 connector, (which is the "standard"), a whole world of options open up for you as far as flavor. You could buy BLU cartridges which are sold everywhere it seems, or buy blank cartridges and put your own flavor in from the get-go.

There seems to be a lot of complaints online about them.
That's what I found after some research as well. I don't just believe anything I read on the internet, but in my experience, if there are more than several instances of the same story from different sources, then it's most often true.

And $8 per cartomizer is absolutely insane. I'd only pay that price if using them gave me immortality. Most legitimate places will sell you cartos at $1.50 to $2.00 each. I.e., 5-packs that cost $8 to $10 aren't uncommon. If you start using a tank setup, you'll find that the price of e-juice drops to somewhere in the range of $0.33 to $0.90 per mL. (Most cartos hold about 1mL of juice.)

People here can recommend other brands that are much better and more fair in the quality-to-price ratio. I'd recommend getting a Halo Triton starter kit, myself. It's what I'm using now, and I'm very satisfied. They also sell e-liquid that's pretty good, but you'll find more recommendations for the likes of Nicoticket, Ahlusion and Mt. Baker Vapor.

My vaping experience is still fairly limited, only having done it for a couple of months now, but this place has many true vaping gurus that can help you better than I with anything vaping-related.

Yes and no. Blu batteries come with reverse polarity, like Rick mentioned, don't ask me why, so you can't use Blu chargers to charge other 510 threaded batteries and vice versa. But the cartomizers are interchangeable.

New to vaping. Charging battery. Blue power light is staying on when plugged into charger, red charging light on. How long does it generally take to charge the battery? Seems it is taking forever on what is a brand new item. Purchased from what I hope is a reputable Vapor shop that has been here for 4 years.

We really need to know what you have to provide a good answer. If you don't know what you have can you maybe post a picture? Most batteries come charged but if it somehow wasnt they can take up to 12 hours the first time. after the first charge (which is almost always done when it's produced) it will take 1-4 hours.

Thanks for response. It seems to last long enough although I'll not 100% sure as I'm normally near a outlet and haven't let it completely die yet except for maybe once or twice. With the warmer weather coming, I'm sure I'll find out soon enough how long it will actually last without a recharge.
I would say "so far, so good" to the whole vaping experience. I haven't smoked a tobacco cig since I got my E-Cig. a few months ago and feel better.

That's what I'm hearing, that it's probably a 510. I took it to a shop near by me but they are also new to the E-Cig thing and are primarily starting out with one type, which isn't the one I have (go figure). I'm fairly sure I can find something much cheaper than the company I got the starter kit from. They are asking about $30 dollars for one of them, which when I looked up replacement batteries for E-cigs was more expensive then any battery of any kind that I saw.
Thanks for your comment, at this point any and all help and advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Yes, that is exactly the one I fell for without reading the "fine" print. I have cancelled already and try to warn as many people as possible about them. They did get their one time $79 for ten refills and that's it from me. That is highly expensive, almost $8 a cartridge which don't even last about a day.
Thank you for responding to my post, I only wished I had known about this forum before ordering anything. Better late than never though.
Happy vaping.:vapor:
