Why let them close the door on you, Jay? What I don't understand is why the interview didn't continue elsewhere. Everyone was ready and waiting and this is an extremely controversial topic so the conspiracy theories are flying now.
All I know is I am/have lost respect, where I once had respect. I don't like being played for the fool, and that is exactly what I see happening here. Not just to me, but to a very large amount of Canadians.
I've sat back for quite awhile and had said nothing. I honestly can no longer do that when i believe I, and a lot of other people are been lied too.

chelly, the long and short of it was twofold... A) i was really emotional and wasn't able to focus on the topic... i was stunned and hurt... and B) i just wasn't able to do it, i had 50 thousand emails (slight exagerations) and i was not able to keep up with it all...
the interview will go on, more to follow on that....

Not saying this is the case here but typically when this behaviour is observed it would lead one to that conclusion. Of course interpretation is left up to the observer. We are really getting away from what ECF is and why it is here. This entire ECTA fiasco shouldn't be why we are using the gas in our tanks to fight one and other. Isolated and unsupported in a closed facebook group should say it all to people. We are just at this point beating a dead horse. Lets get back to helping people here on ECF and when the time comes we can have our questions answered or we can show up in full force demanding answers.
So, with ECTA running Canadian vapers, people should really know what to expect. Sorry, been away for awhile, but not exactly uninformed as to how things work, especially "organizations, movements, and political special interest groups."
Let's be honest...political activism is at the lowest end of the totem pole here. This comes from years of spearheading the not for profit sector in regards to accessing funding. The main goal here, is to secure jobs. What this means, is that ECTA wants to ensure that supporting vendors can continue charging the higher prices, thus keeping the standard of living which they have become accustomed.

Can't flame you for stating the truth. Anyone who does is just the blind following the manipulators. It's quite obvious that is the goal, considering the fact that the membership is made up of the most sickly overpriced vendors in Canada, who care about their cash flow, not the vaping public in Canada. And they (including their Admins) bash Canvape in their little group, and say they have shoddy products, and that they're the "Walmart" of vaping. They do it to make themselves feel better about their greed. I for one, like Walmart, because I like a bargain. I like Canvape because I know I will get the best prices and most importantly, the best customer service. There is a lot of jealousy coming from these other vendors, whether that is because they want more money, more control, or just like to be mean, I guess we'll never know. But I for one won't let some greedy folks and a PR person sent to placate our community try to take over the industry in Canada. I won't support an ECTA vendor, I know that much. The behaviour of their Founding Director (calling people who don't follow their movement fools), coupled with the absolutely disgusting behaviour they partake in and allow on their Facebook group is quite enough for me to know these aren't people I'd ever want to know, or deal with, let alone decide the future of this great industry.
Ok, now I'm going to bed and not coming back in this thread. It just makes me angry.
I was at a CD release tonigh. I missed the so called interview. I only read here and understand that ECTA can't be questioned over a certain limit. Part of e-cig's concept isn't approved yet. ECTA owners took time to get organized, subscride to federal, pay professional fees and invest extra time into it.
Democracy? Votes? Why not. Any group can get together and form a registrated federal association. Why not create an opposition party ?

Sunday evening Jay the Vaping Guy was relieved of his position of host here at Total Vaping Network. Many have speculated and assumed the worst about this situation but here is the truth layed out. JeffAKASlinger, creator of the network, is a Canadian. Many of the hosts here at TVN are from Canada or are part Canadian, so their well being is always in our best interest. Any measures that can be implemented to make a better experience for our fellow vapers, Canadian or not, are fully supported and encouraged by TVN.
That being said, we know little about ECTA and what they intend to do and would love to learn more about it. However, we've been informed that the only way the interview will happen is if Jay the Vaping Guy is reinstated as a host. Our decision to let Jay go had nothing to do with ECTA, but issues directly stemming from Jay not respecting the agreement we made when we agreed to let him host here.
That being said, ECTA is more than welcome to express their views and vision on TVN but we will not be bullied into reinstating someone, considering we have a strong stance against bullying within the vaping community. I hope this will answer some questions you have as we are not going to discuss the reasons Jay the Vaping Guy was relieved of his duties as host out of respect for Jay and his privacy but do know that Jay was made aware of the reasons he was let go.

You're very welcome. We at TVN love to provide information for the vaping community on current events so this is something we are very interested in learning about. Anyone representing ECTA is more than welcome to our channel anytime but we will not be told who can and cannot host on our channel.

Good to know, good to know. So in doing this interview he was going back on an agreement he had made with TVN that he had to follow in order to continue hosting there.

Such a surprise!!! And for some reason they will only do the interview with Jay. Makes me wonder what kind of "agreement" was going on here...
Who cares about the ECTA?? What have they done for us? What will they do? I for one don't care ..... and i don't know anyone that does. They should just change their ways or go away. I'm sick of hearing about the ECTA. Garbage is garbage.
