why cant i edit my postings? there used to be a place at the bottom of my posting where i can edit it, but now its gone?

You get the edit button after you post. If it was posted to ATV, you may not get the option to edit. Anywhere else, it should be there after you post. There have been some glitches in ECF recently, due to upgrades, so perhaps the mod can chime in if there is a bug. I'm not having this issue myself, here or in any other forum.
There is also a 2-day time limit for editing posts; after 48 hours, the EDIT button disappears and the post cannot be edited by the OP. If it's critical that the post be edited, one needs to contact Administration.
