Eeek! Strange mixing reaction...

I just recently got a "medium" (16mg) menthol and a "medium" (16mg) vanilla juice from one of our registered suppliers, and I am very happy with them both. Unfortunately for me, I overestimated my nic needs, and if I vape a lot I get sweats and the other fun stuff that has been described at length... soooooo... I decided to dig up a bottle of "low" (6mg) menthol from my previous supplier in China and do a little dilution. I dropped about 2ml of the 6mg Chinese juice, and then 2ml of vanilla 16mg and 2ml of menthol 16mg... All juices started out crystal clear, but once they were mixed, the liquid turned murky and some black stuff precipitated out (not a lot, but enough to see little black specks floating around). This doesn't happen when I just mix the 16mg vanilla and menthol together... What the heck have I been vaping?!? (not even bothering to put this concoction in a cartomizer, I'll just order some 0 nic from a recommended supplier!)

maybe they where made from 2 types of menthol for example one may have been from crystals or powder an the other made from ethyl alcohhol that may create a strange reaction. ive seen pink unflavored e-liquid that was a result of how they refine the nicotine making it change pink in glycerin.

I've seen it too, what refining process causes this? I thought I had read somewhere it was actually attributable to the pg.
