I'd like to say hello to everyone and Im pretty excited to join the EFC family.

Im new to the vaping world (July 24, 2013-last day of analoge smokes). Its the best choice ive made in a very long time. Since my very 1st setup came in the mail (2-Ego Twists w/ Kanger T3s) i never lit a cigarette again and im pretty stoked about that! Went from 1 & 1/2 packs a day to 0.

I now have in my arsenal Kanger protank 2 and protank mini, 4 t3s, ismokas mini and the bigger one and waiting for my Vamo V3 to get here. This is where my question lay's.... i just purchased 2 vivi novas and right outta the package they pour juice into my mouth. with some searching around i realized i purchased the "knock off's". the sure sign they are knock off's is that they have that little metal cone which sits under the rubber gasket on top of the head which also sits just inside the drip tip. ive ben looking around for any way to fix this, but im not having any luck. if anyone has any ideas, i would highly appreciate it.... thanks in advance..

I remember starting off with vivi novas. Didn't have the juice in the mouth problem, but I did find they leaked at the bottom quite badly. Once I got onto the "vision vivi novas" the leaking stopped.

I'd say check you aren't overfilling the nova. If the juice level is above the top of the wick you will get juice entering the air chamber and then juice in the mouth, also you need to make sure the coil assembly is snug in it's mounting. Finally, I'd say, try and keep your set-up upright, but you'll still need to do the tip and swirl occasionally to keep the wicks wet.

Hope some of that helps :D

Thanks everyone for the info... im gonna break these down and see if if I can rig it up. I tried to keep it straight up and boom, juice still all in the drip tip and my mouth (only took 2 drags). I could think of 2 potential problems..1) maybe I need to add another wick? (Only 2 can installed) or 2) that cone/gasket isnt making that great of a seal?

I was thinking about switching to cartos, do they produce nice throat hit/vapor?
The opinion on any individual delivery device will be subject to personal experience of the person being asked, whether that person was knowledgeable in learning how to use it properly, if there was any user error involved in using it which would influence the person's opinion, and whether such device was a genuine brand name or a knockoff of lesser quality.

My personal opinion is the best juice delivery device for me has been a cartomizer used in a pyrex cartotank. I get better flavor production and consistant/predictable results. They don't leak and for the most part are trouble free. It takes a few minutes to set up a new cartotank, and less than a minute to refill the tank, but the results are worth it to me. Cartomizers used alone are fine, but you can't see the amount of juice in the carto (being its metal), so it can be easy to allow it to go dry and burn the filler material in the carto. Used in a tank a carto's juice level stays consistant as each draw on the tank feeds more juice into the carto, and you can easily see the level of the juice available in the tank to know when to add more juice.

Read this picture dictionary of juice delivery attachments (with demo video on each one), paying particular attention to the section on cartomizers and cartotanks:

Then read this cartotank setup guide (with video demo) and see if cartotanks look like a viable option to you:

Welcome to the forums! I am a mod kinda guy but have long time vaping friends that continue to use a setup similar to yours.

Love the quote, avi is nice also.

Edit. I see Baditude has been here already. Read the links he posted, very good information.

We all have different preferences, I have three carto tanks in use at the moment, I also have a Vision Viva Nova that has performed wonderfully for me, but like you found out, not all Viva Novas are created equally. Good luck and happy vaping.

Better and more consistently than a clearo, in my experience (carto-tank set-up). Also no fiddling or maintenance with a glass tank-carto set-up. I've been using the same glass tank for a year with the original seals and have not had one leak. I switch out cartos about every 12 - 14 days and that is all the maintenance required.

Dripping on an atty still produces the best hit and flavor, IMO. But very labor intensive and impractical depending on your need to be out and about.
