This might be helpful for newer e-smokers out there. Up until now I've been using 18mg nicotine e-liquid. Today I received my first bottles of 0mg and 6mg, and now I think I understand the difference.

First, they have absolutely no throat hit. I didn't realize how much I would miss it. It might be nice to have some of this around in case I have a sore throat or something, but from now on I think I'll order 12mg (the 18mg was a little strong TH for me.)

Second, the nicotine adds a very distinct spicy flavor, almost like pepper. It's the same flavor I noticed in nicotine gum and Camel Orbs. This makes it feel kinda hot and harsh in your lungs and throat. Smokers will probably appreciate that flavor and miss it when it's totally gone. The other flavorings in the e-liquid are still great, the nicotine just adds a punch.

Just for reference, I'm using juices from alien Visions on my eGo with LR cartomizers. Hope this helps you when selecting your nicotine level!

Try adding a drop or so of PGA (pure grain alcohol) to your juice for better TH.

Thanks SuZamme, unfortunately pure grain alcohol is outlawed in my state. We have to drive a few hours to get it. Do you know if it changes the flavor at all? Some people recommend using vodka, but I hate the taste of vodka.

The PGA doesn't change the flavor to me. The Vodka would probably be awful and I have enjoyed a few Screwdrivers in my day.
What got me down in nic was vaping a bunch of very different flavors and then finding a really strong menthol and adding menthol to some of my favorite flavors. You can get the menthol at PA (perfumers apprentice) and I think she offers crystals dissolved in PGA...maybe a win/win if you like menthol.
