I actually remember reading something about some stats that were gathered in China during the avian flu breakout over there. The one thing they found is that those that frequently used e-cigarettes seemed to be diagnosed with this new flu much LESS often as those that did not vape. I think someone concluded it was likely due to the PG concentration in the lungs (and possibly the air) and it's "powerful bactericide and virucide" attributes. I've looked for that article/post since but can't seem to find it, so take everything I just typed as hearsay.

No offense to that link, but it is two years old. VG juices and the way that vendors have adjusted to customers needs have changed a lot since then. I personally vape primarily 100% VG juice and will use some at a max of 50/50, but will never go back to PG heavy juices. Everybody has different needs and tolerances, but I prefer VG bases.

Im not noticing any adverse affects to using 10/90 pg/vg.

I prefer higher vg juices primarily for vapor production and smoothness. My cigarettes when I smoked were premium cigarettes and didnt have that harsh taste that I associate with pg and no-name brand smokes.

I work in a funeral home and frequently visit a lot of nursing homes, hospitals, and county morgues as part of the job. My co-workers who all smoke analogs and all get similar exposures are always sick even though they go nuts with hand sanitizer. I've yet to catch anything but a day of the runs or a 2 day fever in the course of a year, and every time I get sick it's after I'm too lazy to wear gloves. I've always just assumed I had built up tolerances but maybe there's something about the e-cig.

My spouse works with me and has the same track record as me and also vapes.

Not doubting you on the effects of smoking one iota but hand sanitizer is part of their problem as well. There have been numerous studies that point to overuse of sanitizer products stripping away good bacteria and making people more susceptible to a host of illnesses. I'll stick to good old fashioned soap and hot water. :)

I couldn't agree more!

I'm also of the opinion that it's important to give my immune system a little training every now and then. Which of course reminds me of a George Carlin rant!

Me, too. We have those hand sanitizing stations at work and my co-workers are always slathering that stuff over their hands all day. I prefer the old-fashion method of staying clean.
