Hello Nadine,
We should start seeing DIY for atom material soon on the website.
You gonna post a tutorial for us Rob?
I'd love to see that.

Hello Nadine,
We should start seeing DIY for atom material soon on the website.
Ah, I see!
I look forward to the updated DIY stuff on the site.
I was afraid that dry burning would damage the wick. I have soaked in vodka though.
Where can I buy silica wicks for my T2?
I have tried vodka, PGA, Crest Prohealth Mouthwash (someone here suggested it for atomizers), white vinegar, peroxide, etc. and none of these seems to do any good on their own. I simply soak for a few hours in hot tap water. Let completely dry and then dry burn about 5 - 10 times to remove the crud. Blowing on it after the burn seens to help and sometimes I use the blunt end of a fine needle to gently scrape any hard to remove stuff. I clean mine very often - after a couple of tankfuls. This minimizes the effort needed to clean them.
Dry burning does not seem to affect the wick - after all, silica wick is supposed to withstand up to a 1000 degrees or more. A few seconds of dry burn is nothing. I think what destroys wicks is not keeping them clean. You get a sort of barbeque type bricket on the coil and wick and it really seems to wear on the wick as you need more heat to get the liquid to vaporize.
I have rebuilt many Vision Stardusts and a few of the CE4 EGOs with great success... I haven't even used the replacement coils I purchased! Would create a tutorial but, I don't have a lot of spare time...
Tutorial?
jeez, you guys are asking for ALOT, just kidding hehe.
We will have wicks and coil wire up today....
Really, dry burning a coil is very easy, easier than you think.
Back in the day, coils would pop if you let them get too hot, but now these suckers last
They can glow for a LONG time, and I have yet to pop one.
I will try to make a video, because it would come in handy for everyone.
But if you look at my simple post on how to clean a coil,
the dry burn is all you have to do.
I have never, and will never soak a coil, it is just not necessary.
And as dsy5 pointed out wicks...that may work for people that have the time,
but rarely would you need to make a new coil/wick for the T2, CE4 CC 2.4ml yada yada coils.
We are putting wicks/coils on the site for the rebuildable atomizers (also putting on site today!)
Thanks to you!
One reason I never put T2 on the site for these eGo 2.4ml CC,
is that we are putting in stock the true "T2" kit
It has a totally different thread than eGo, so there will not be a mix up
(of course I will note this in the T2 descriptions)
I wasn't aware of the thread issues between the two... I assume you are talking about the coil thread.
I also want to add my impressions/experience. I bought a Vision CE2 Clearomiser from Good Prophets (best supplier on the planet!!) and LOVED it!!! Best vaping experience to-date! After a few weeks it really lost its punch and made very poor vapor. (hence my post above about reviving/cleaning). So I ordered 2 of the newer GP CE4 Clearomizers thinking it would be a next gen and improved. I gotta tell ya I hate em!! Both of them wick really poorly. If I set it on my desk and pick it up after a few min it tastes burnt as all hell!!! Like the wick is supplying no juice to the coil. And even if I leave it upright and it wicks, it tastes very "Metallicy" . Is it just me or are these really lame?
Post script - I just bought another Vision CE 2 and it's awesome. So why is everyone so happy with the CE 4's?? What am I missing here?
