    It's all personal preference, Smitty.

4.2 probably isn't going to hold on after your battery starts to drop in voltage- it's probably an unregulated setting.

Use the lower voltages for starting up a new carto.

Many, many of us still use cartos. :)

Think about a carto- tank for a consistently good vape.

Staying at 1.8ohm or higher makes ego batteries happy.

    Thank you r77r7r
I've been using 3ohm cartos (no tank) on ego batts and I find them totally dependable. I also use a protank 2 mini and I
really like it but it's a little quirky until you figure out exactly what it wants. I ordered an F15 tank that
should come in Fri or Sat.
Thanks again, and have a good afternoon!!

I must be 3-4 years behind the times, so what's popular now?

LOL - I traded in my cartos for some Vision Vivi Nova tanks, that I've been rebuilding the coils on with great success. Guess that puts me almost 2 years behind the times. I found what works very well for me, and I've stuck with it. Also use some old school 306 and 510 attys (pre-built, non-replaceable coils), good for dripping, testing my DIY flavors.

The latest gizmo and gadgets seem just to have different problems from the older stuff, sometimes very similar problems....

Last year I ended up selling all my mods, chargers, batteries, etc. Everything was so finicky about what worked with what. The batteries were not true to size , so the size that the batteries were supposedly, did not fit in to every mod. Some carts were good some clearos were good, but still not uniform.

Then I bought an Ego vv, and a mini protank, and finally got some consistency and a satisfying vape. So that's all I do now. I see that the aspire tank has a different coil in it. I wonder if it's better or worse that the kanger coils. But I have to say with the mini proline tank and VV ego's and like, I can now rely on what I'm getting without playing musical chairs with the mod and the atomizers/carts/etc.

I think the right system has a lot to do with whether you can stay off cigarettes. Fussy equipment and poor performance make it hard to trade in cigarettes for. Except for many people here who are always willing to tinker. Without their genius and curiousity, we'd be no where. Who better than a smoker/vaper to discover what will work.

Seminole, I agree about having the right system. I bought an Blu starter kit prior to our vacation so that I could vape in the car during the long parts of our trip. Ended up having a cigarette at the first stop. While we were on vacation I stopped by a vape shop. Walked out with an EVOD VV 1300 mah paired with an Aerotank mini and some Obsession Prestige 18 mg juice. What a difference, I had 3 cigs the rest of the day and haven't had a cig in 10 days. I've since purchased an Aerotank V2 and EVOD glass all paired with EVOD batteries. I've not had any issues with performance and haven't wanted to smoke cigs. Also learned that 18mg is too strong, 12mg is just right. I'm sticking with EVOD batteries and Kanger tanks for now because they work great for me. Going to try the 1.8 ohm coils and see which I like better.

I just got my hands on an aspire mini nautilus, and it uses a bvc. Wether it's better or not is still up in the air for me, but so far it's pretty good!
