ego and a cartomizer

i am not clear on how to use an ego cigarette. i would like to purchase one maybe
if i use an ego can i use it just like an 808 battery and cartomizer set up, meaning a simple two piece ecig.

Definitely, if you have a manual 808 than it's basically the same thing. Only difference is the size and threading. My suggestion would be to get a couple of the 1000 mah ego-t batts, charger, and whatever carto that you choose.

my next question concerning the cartomizers for the ego is how do you fill them with liquid?

can you use the condom method or do you fill them some other way with ejuice?

if you want you can check our Liberty-Flights com and get a Riva 901 kit..basically same as the 808...and you can use the condom method to fill your cartomizer or what i do is the thermometer method...basically leave the battery end condom on..remove the white rubber cap..drip about 3 drops on the filler and to a thermometer shake..keep adding three drops until filler looks completely saturated..

i had an ego but i was tired of dripping. cartomizers is a good option. you just drip inside onto the filler and let it soak in. keep dripping until it no longer absorbs and is completely soaked. you can use the condom method but i dont. i just drip then flick my wrist so the juice goes down to the bottom of the filler then drip again...etc.

btw: i have a REOmini for sale in the classified comes with batteries and a case. the reo mini is one of the easiest, most reliable, discrete, and indestructable mods on the market. just fill up the bottle give it a little squeeze and it feeds the atty or carto. then vape away. Depending on what cartomizers you get for it you can fill them the same way. I would go with Boge 2.0 ohm for your first cartomizer and then you can try other things from there if you want. Boge are easy to fill, you can do the condom method or just drip on the filler, either way works just like your current cartos and they are good performers with no hassle. If you can't find the 901 Riva/Ego you could always go with 510 which is compatible with more accessories anyway and if you want to use your 808 stuff with it just get an adapter for a few bucks.

Don't worry that they are out of stock. You can pick up cartomizers from any vendor. Madvapes has most of them in stock right now:

As for dripping. Standard sized is 25 drops and something like dual coils take 45. Finally, there's the mega cartos that take 55-100 drops. The most convenient method for me is to use the syringe. Takes less time and gets the job done.

I'm thinking of getting an ego myself. Dripping onto the filler sounds a lengthy process. Why do you not just use the syringe for refills as well?

While I'm at it. I'm confused with all these different egos (ego-T, ego-W etc. etc.). Any idea what the differences are?

You could refill with a syringe as well, but it's just easier to drip 15-20 drops into the filler since most likely you haven't completely emptied the carto. Syringe is just to make sure you get the juice all the way down to the bottom.
Here's a vid on how to do it. Watch around the 3:00 minute mark.

Ego-T is a tank system -- tanks pop into atty/holder. ("A" style tank holds approx 1-1.1 ml. "B" style holds approx 2 ml)

Ego-W atty with non removable tank built in -- like clear cartos. (holds approx 2 ml)

I like 2ohm smoketek cartos on my ego battery. Work great and can be drip filled. Anywhere from 1.6 to 2.5ohm have given me good results.

I didn't read all of the comments here, but if you already have some kr808 cartos, you can buy an adapter for 3-4$. You would need an 808 to 510 adapter and then you can use all your 808 stuff on the ego. You would probably ultimately want some 510 cartos as well and those are priced about the same as the 808 cartos.

As for syringe fill etc. All you really need to do is if you have a blank carto you would syringe fill the first time just to make sure you have juice at the bottom and it wouldnt burn. After you do that the first time, you vape until you feel it's getting low. Then you just pop the cap off, drip in 10-15 drops and yer back in business. I get about 4-5 hours out of each top off.
