Just got the Joye eGo kit and I'm not sure what the atomizer cover is for. Also, I can't figure out how to attach it. Can anyone help? Thanks.

I believe you would use that when you are using a non-ego atomizer,i.e., 510 carto/atomizer, inorder to give a smooth transition between the battery; it has no functional use.
If you can't seem to figure out how to attach the cone, you may have the eGo Mega kit. If not, the cone screws on to the larger thread just above the batt and below where you screw in your atomizer. The purpose of the cone outside of aesthetics, is to preheat the incoming air.
I beg to differ. It muffles the noise of the air draw, letting you stealth vape easier. I miss that little cone and I'm figuring out a way to adapt one to my ProVari.
The cone can also help catch and juice, preventing juice from getting into your battery button.
