Ego batteries changing the taste

Morning all, if this could be moved to the Ego subforum that would be great (I've <5 posts).

I've been using an EgoC from FreedomVape for 6 weeks. After a few days I swapped out the standard atomizer and replaced with a Kanger T2. All has been well.

Yesterday I received a new battery from VapeEscape - the EgoC Upgrade version. Slightly longer and has the passthrough. (Also in this package was a beautiful ProVari Mini + free VapeEscape bag - awesome stuff!!!!.. but I digress...)

To my surprise, using the same Kanger T2, the taste of my juice (HHV Powder Keg) is completely different. In the original EgoC battery it's got a fuller taste. Somehow though the new EgoC upgrade battery seems to make the taste more concentrated but less aromatic.

Is this normal and how is it even possible?! I assume the output voltage remains the same, so how can electricity make this much difference?

Are you using the upgrade in "vv" mode? If so, it should be firing around 4.2v(I think) at a full charge which could make it a warmer vape, more vapor, and potentially less flavor.

Good morning! The only thing I can think of (I'm kinda new,, more experienced will answer too,, I'm sure) is the new battery a joye? Joye run at 3.4v and the clone egos run at 3.7v.... that may definitely change a taste.... it's nice to meet you,, and keep vaping!

wow awesome replies ! This makes sense then... I need to get a voltmeter! VV is new to me and the difference of a good +10% on the voltage certainly changes things. The new VV upgrade is an interesting thing so I need to play with it a little more.
