Ego batteries coming apart - How to fix them so they don't burn out atomizers?

I have some generic Ego batteries that I really love, but unfortunately some of them are coming apart from the casing and the connector.

I do not know how to put them together properly with the chip in place or really how they are supposed to be at all once the guts spill. I looked for a tutorial on this, but I couldn't find one.

Any ideas?

I tried to put one back together once, apparently crossed the wires, shocked myself a little, and said "forget this" and threw it out.

Now I'm having a similar problem - the whole top hasn't come off, but the rubber o-ring around the center post of the top of the battery has come loose. Also, when I shake the battery I can feel something jiggling around loose inside. This is a cheap ego knockoff that was the first thing I bought when returning to vaping, I guess if I have to throw it away too I will, but it's the smallest one I've got and I like it for the stealth factor.

Can anyone let me know if there's any danger in continuing to attempt to charge and/or use it without that o-ring seated properly?

That is exactly why I was wondering how to put them back together. I bought them there and they are regularly coming apart =(.

What's weird is I bought 4 from FT, all of them worked - then I lent one to my mother-in-law and somehow the top popped off (see my other post for my failed repair attempt). Figured 3/4 wasn't bad, so I bought another 4, intending to give them all to her. This time, 2 were dead on arrival. Contacted customer support, they were really easy to deal with - sending them back and they're going to send me 2 more. If you're within the 45 day return period, go ahead and open a ticket and see if they'll take 'em back.

Just bumping myself because I'd really appreciate some advice...
