eGo Battery flashing 3 times during drag (fully charged)

I have an ego 900mAh battery that I am using with a smok bottom coil clearomizer, and either a 2.4 or 3.0 coil. During a draw, I am still getting vape, but before I want to quit sucking it has been flashing at me 3 times. It does this no matter what kind of juice I use. Even with fresh coils of either size. The battery is only a week old. I charge it fully overnight? Anyone have any suggestions as to what could be wrong? Is it just a faulty battery? My juice ratio is 80/20, and I have noticed a lot of burning flavor when I use those dessert flavors (ick, I quit using those).

Thanks for any help!:)

How long of a drag are you taking? Sounds like you hit the cutoff.

I like to take a really long draw because I feel like I'm not getting a big enough throat hit. I am at 11mg of nicotine, maybe this is too low for me. How do I get a bigger throat hit with lots of vape?

BTW thanks for all the responses.

Throat hit is mostly nicotine, so a higher nic level will give you more throat hit. Lower resistance coils may also help.

Cool, I will switch from 3.0 to 2.4. Thanks ;)

1.8-2.0 ohm might even be better for you. But I would try shorter draws at these ohms first. The coil gets hotter at lower ohms & you may experience a dry hit with longer draws. I'm running a 2.1 ohm coil in my evod tank on my provari @ 3.4 volts and a 5 second draw is just about all I can handle. My juice is a 70/30 pg/vg blend @ 10mg strength.

I think I'm going to try making my own juice with a higher PG. I can't really find too many juices with higher PG ratios. Can you recommend anything?

While I have tried different vendors juices, I've been mixing my own for about four years now so I can't offer much help in the juice recommendation area. I do however like Provapes whitehorse tobacco & The Vapor Stations Tennessee tobacco.

As far as DIY, I personally recommend nicotine from wizardlabs, PG and VG from MyFreedomSmokes, and flavors from Perfumer's Apprentice.

I've read that the VG is responsible for more vapor, and PG gives you more of a throat hit. Can we have the best of both worlds? LOL

You can do a 50/50 mix. I used that blend forever and swore by it until I found that a proper mixed 70 pg 30 vg gave me a perfect throat hit and more than enough vaper production to emulate a cigarette exhale.

Well I just switched my coil from a 3.0 to a 2.4, and that made a huge difference right there. Not too much on the throat hit, but definitely on the amount of time I need to draw. Now my battery isn't blinking at me, and I am able to get more than enough in just a couple of seconds. Thanks. Going to look into buying unflavored PG and VG with the nic concentrations already in them. Then add my own flavor extracts. That will be nice because I can make my vape more favorable if I wish. YAY!

So basically, it's not a good idea to leave it on the charger after it's been fully charged. I can agree with that. I've heard that before about cell phones and ipods and such.

Cags, I like your cig. So effing true!

I would never let them charge unattended or leave them on after finished.
