Since I got my Ego batteries last week, I have yet to see one run out. And I thought for sure I would today. My practice has been to stick the one I've been using on the charger when I get home from work, vape with the new one throughout the evening and next early morning, and head off to work with a fresh one. This morning I forgot to change batteries and got panicky until I realized I also had a fresh 510 and another fully charged 510 battery in the car charger. But I didn't need them anyway, and just vaped a bit on the 510 for a flavor change. Still haven't changed the Ego battery after >24 hours, and I'm an average-level vaper I guess, like 2-3 ML/day, and usually bottom out a 510 in an hour or so. And, I should add, I have an LR atty on it! I'm pretty amazed!

Question - do you just use the Ego and Tornado batteries with your regular 510 attys and cartridges?
Or do you have to order the whole kit?

I've never really gotten that clarified...

Thanks!

Lori

An Ego (and I guess Tornado & Riva) is a 510 atty & cartridge or drip tip with a different battery, plus the cone cover and different charging equipment. So to go from 510 to Ego, I just bought a couple batteries and cones and a charger adapter. Although everybody says the USB charger is much, much faster than a wall charger, it makes little difference with that kind of battery life (as long as you own at least a couple batteries).

An eGo / Tornado is basicly a 510 battery on Steriods. It has the same threads as a 510 so all your 510 atty's or cartomizer work great on it.

The only thing you need different is you need an eGo charger. You could use your 510 charger on and eGo / Tornado but it would take forever to charge it.

I you look for specials on eGo's I think you will find that you can get an eGo starter kit for a tad more that buying an eGo battery and an eGo charger.

I have been using my same Ego charger from Janty since Feb....My only wish is that they come out with a car charger for an Ego...If there is one...I don't know about it..
Maybe someone "in the know" can help out on this....Enjoy the Adventure....

You can use a 510 car charger to charge an eGo but it will take longer.

<<< WARNING >>>

NEVER CHARGE YOUR 510 BATTERIES WITH AN EGO CHARGER !!!

When I got my eGo, I just ordered 2 battery's, 1 cone and a USB fast charger from cignot. At that time it was cheaper than ordering a 'kit'. I already had a ton of 510 attys, and carts. Now, some 'kit's' are cheaper <sigh>

Just get a cig lighter USB power adapter and then plug your eGo fast charger into that. The USB power adapter needs to have a 500mA output if you're just charging the eGo, higher if it has multiple USB ports and you're going to charge multiple devices at once.

Thank you for that warning! I've asked about this a few times - if their respective chargers were interchangable, and haven't gotten an answer.
You just saved me from a stupid mistake in Classifieds.

No Problem Lori...

I learned the hard way about putting a battery into something it wasn't designed for.

I once put a 510 Battery in a Blu PCC. Since it had the same threads there shouldn't be a problem, right?

Wrong. Blu and 510 batteries have the same thread but reversed polarity. So I fried one of my 510 batteries.

But looking back on it. It was actualy a good thing. It was what made me start looking for another battery which made me find the eGo.
