I just dropped my ego battery on the floor maybe 20 minutes ago and right when I picked it up it was really hot. It still hasn't cooled down and seems to be getting hotter. I may be being super paranoid right now, but I'm worried it may explode. Does anyone know of a safe place I can put this thing in case it does blow? Thanks.

Well right now i just have it in the bathtub It's still hot so I'm waiting to see what it'll do. I probably won't use this battery again, since it's super hot for no reason.
That's very strange. Dropping it shouldn't have had any effect on it. How old is this battery?
I'm not sure exactly but I got it right when Janty first released the egos. I've accidentally dropped the batteries before and this never happened, but this time it rolled under a desk and it took me a couple minutes to pick it up and when I did it was really hot. I set it down for a few min and it was still hot maybe even hotter. I just checked on the battery just now and it's cooled down substantially, it only slightly warm now. So I think if there was any danger, its passed. Now I dunno if I should continue using it.
I wouldn't. Contact Janty and see if there's anything they can do. Granted batteries aren't that expensive, but they may be aware of this and have a fix already in place. If that's the case you might get two new batteries out of it.
Partial short from mechanical damage? If a battery takes a hard bump, gets really hot, I'd tend not to use it again, but that's just me.
Ok cool, thanks everyone. I'll contact Janty and see what they say. I'm definitely not going to risk it on using that battery again.
