How Hot? (eGo)

How hot does the top of the battery part of the eGo get? Is there a normal range? The atomizer gets super hot and that heat transferes to the battery casing. I am concerned about my battery getting hot and exploding. I'm new to all this and haven't been able to find that info yet.

I have used several different EGO's for over 2 yrs now and have had them get pretty heated without having any issues with battery malfunctions. They have protection features built in. If the heat bothers you slow down the vaping or raise the resistance in the attys you use to reduce heat. I have seen and read about mods exploding but IMO I think that has more to do with user error or battery abuse ie. not properly storing or charging them. Or the mad vaper creating frankenmods without regard to battery stability or protection.

What are you using on the battery? How often are you hitting it? How long are you holding the button down? I vaped egos for well over a year straight with nothing else. Mine got pretty warm at times but never had anything bad as a result. I just would pick up another one to use for a bit.
