Ego Battery Recommendations

Well the standard Joye Ego batteries from my starter kit are starting to get tired. After three months of constant use, charged time is getting shorter and one has come on by itself, on a few occasions, just from movement without the buttom being pushed.

I have spent so much time researching everything else I have tried with my e-cigs, I thought I would try just asking for recommendations for a replacement battery.

I want to stay with the ego type but would like a longer time of use. I am currently using them with the Vision Stardust and plan on staying with that unless there is a big problem with them down the road.

Should I consider variable voltage? Also tips on good prices would be appreciated.

I know you stated you want to stick with the eGo type, and I'm taking that to mean Joye eGo specifically, but would you be opposed to an eGo clone? My 1100mAh KGO batteries are working great for me. They last a full day, into the evening, and I generally charge and switch when I get home just to keep them topped off. I did have to test it out and got a day and a half before the blue light starting blinking at me and it stopped working. The voltage spec on them is 3.7v, but they kick out 4v or so straight off the charger (haven't tested mine, but from reviews), and I can't say I notice any drop in performance until they're right next to dead.

The only problem I see in your case is that they're not compatible with the Joye chargers, so you'd have an additional expense there. They seem to be pretty popular, they're right next to out of stock at Hoosier right now, though they had loads of them two weeks ago.

Consider switching to another Ego type pv.

E-Power 14650. I got mine from Hoosier and recommend the vendor. He should have new stock in within a week or two. There are plenty of good E-Power 14650 vendors.

This is a 3.7V 510 Ego type using a single standard cylindrical 14650 protected Li-ion battery. 1050mAh.

I can buy two protected Trustfire 14650s for $7 plus change from China and receive them in the mail 10 days later. The 14650 will last at least as long as Ego batteries and probably a lot longer.

I upgraded my ego batteries to the 1000mah, from the 650mah batts that came in the starter kit. They definitely last longer. They are a little bit bigger...longer, but they do last me nearly 2 days of pretty solid vaping.

I have to say the Riva 510 kits I've gotten from LF have lasted me a long time and inexpensive @ 29.99 + low shipping, my original kit lasted a year and I'm not a light weight when it comes to vaping hth!

Just buy you an ego t passthrough. Charge and vape, unplug and vape. Idk if I'll ever try anything else! And for just a bit more than a battery, cant beat it IMO

Ego passthrough is what I use all day long great for chain vaping mine is a 650mah but I am considering the 1000mah and an ego booster vv attachment

I have 4 1000mah batteries in a ego PCC so I am never without power . I even have a flashlight head that turns one of the batteries into a flashlight is needed . If you use things like the ego mega dual coil cartomizer you will need lots of batteries to run it .

Mr. Whitecloud, Get the 1000mah! I have the normal ones, 650, but my husband hes 650 and 1000. Once he tried both, he never touches the 650 anymore! Im going to get me one too, its a HUGE difference!

Yes, I have considered going to the 1000mah. Though I like the smaller size of the 650's that came with the kits for everyday use the extended use time would be better.

These are for my husband and I so we are talking about at least 4 new batteries here because we each need a backup. I like the PCC idea too. Passthroughs wouldn't work well for us. Especially for my husband who is never around a usb all day.

Are the e powers the same size as the joye ego's?

My Vocano 1000 mah works great, although I can still manage to run it empty. Their 650 mah has a built in passthrough that also works well. The only problem with them is that they can't use Stardust cartos. I just found this out the hard way, and it's actually why I joined the forum. I'm curious to see if I can modify them to work with the cartos. As far as size goes, the 1000mah's aren't terribly larger. Variable voltage is definitely an option, although I've found that with a good low resistance atty, regular batteries can still produce a fine vape.

E-Power 14650 measures 17mm wide (about 11/16") and 5" long including cone (but without carto). With a XL sized carto (holding almost 2ml of juice) and a drip tip on it the length is about 6 1/2". It fits in my jeans pocket just fine.

The 14650 battery (1050 mAh) lasts me a day and a half between charges. I used to smoke 1.5 packs a day.

I would def consider getting an Epower or kGo over the eGo. EGos are only 3.3-3.4V, while the Epower and kGo are both 3.7V PVs. Not only do the 3.7V PVs provide alittle more "oomph" but more importantly they handle the lower resistance attys and cartos a lot better.
I have an EPower and I love it. I do like the kGo too, but bought an Epower bc I can buy 3-4 Epower batteries for the cost of 1 kGo/eGo/riva battery, and they last longer before they need to be replaced. Also everything is replaceable on the Epower so it's cheaper to maintain. I get a day to a day and a half on one battery and paired with a Smoktech 3.5ml tank and Ressurector cartos I get an all day maintenance free vape, while still having a very portable PV that I can easily carry in my pocket.
The kGo also has really good battery life too and most people get a full day on 1 battery. Both of them give a great vape and are the same price, if not cheaper, than what a lot of vendors charge for an eGo.
