Anyone trying this should take heed to the warning in the video.

Be VERY Careful once it starts separating. If you continue pulling real hard, you will pull the wires off when it comes apart.

This adds more repair time!

Yeah but some of us just want to just cause! I just recently got my moms brand new EGO from V4L that had a bad connection post that fell down. V4L sent her a new one. So I decided to take it apart. Took the battery body off. Tried to get the circuit board out, was really difflicut, and finally I had to use more pulling power, pulled out too far that it tore off the body ground wire and the green power wire to the post. So all i just need to do is resolder the wires on and figure out what to do with the rubber sleeve since that part is what keeps the post up. It looks like it was melted somehow so the seat height has dropped down.
