Ego-C Atomizer base question

Can the base that the atomizer sits on, be washed? I've given a couple of them a quick rinse under hot water, with mixed results.

Does the base wear out? Or, I should say, wear down? Do they slow down before they fail?

And can you buy just the base without the tank holder?

I really love the ego-c, both the type A and B.

And, as always, I am amazed and grateful for your excellent business and service.

The part that screws onto your battery or the part with the coil?
If coil portion... I've pried the wick/needle off and gave the coil part a rinse before. Usually when I do that I put the whole thing together(minus wick/needle) and swing it hard to get as much water out as possible before doing a dry burn

Yes, I bathe my base. I have seen bases break. As far as slow down, I have not seen that. I recently had a body that refused to make contact with the battery and I ended up fixing it by tapping the ring that you see when you look in from the top with a flat bladed screwdriver and small (small!) hammer. I unscrewed it from the base before I did that. The body and its base come as one piece and not separately. And... thank you, we love our jobs!!
