So as the thread title states, fresh off the charger after getting a green light, my less than 1 week old eGo-C battery is showing 3.16v on my multimeter. Earlier tonight when I was using it, when I would go to press the button, it would blink the full blue light 3 times (like it does when you turn it on/off) but it wasn't turning off, it would still be on. I could press the button again and get 3 blinks. If I pressed hard it would turn on with a white light. Gave it a bit of a rest and then it seemed like the button was working again. But the vape was very blah. Cold, weak, practically not there at all. Popped the DCT off and the cone/tank back on and tried the same flavor ... same thing with a eGo type A LR atty. Okay I says, this doesn't seem right, so I checked it with the MM and was getting around 2.99v, with a white light.

Oh why do things like this always happen to me on the weekend. eSmokerOnline where I bough it locally is closed on Sunday. Gonna have to shoot him an email to see if he's open on Memorial Day.

Why are DCTs not meant for the eGo C? How would it ruin a batt? Too much amperage draw? If so, do they make a 2+ ohm DCT?
All DCTs were intended for IMR batteries that can take the current draw. It is often the PCB that protects the batteries from over current draw like the Lava Tube. However, some PCBs have failed because of too much current draw.
