I must admit i'm solely an ego user, they are perfect for me. But this new product is absolutely fantastic. The best and most well designed e cig i've ever seen. The vapour production is equivalent to a lr ego-t atty but with no burning taste. Very consistent flavour and vapour. The ability to change out the internals of the attomizer is a blessing as well. I have to give it a 9.5/10. Good throat hit as well. Got it at vancityvapor today and wow was it ever worth it. Fruit flavours are absolutely crisp and delicious in this new little unit. Very tasteful joyetech branding on it as well. I will update if i find any problems and when i find the best way to clean it. All in all i am very pleased to spend my money on this amazing new vape.

I have to admit that the eGo-C did surprise me in that it works far better than any eGo-T system ever did for me, but I'm not so inclined to give it such high marks. It's fine with thin juices, but as soon as the viscosity gets up around a 20-30% VG consistency it starts having wicking problems if you take more than one vape every minute or two, and the higher you go the worse it gets. My 70/30 juice just barely works in it. I can let it sit for an hour with my 70/30 juices and get 4-5 good vapes out of it, but then it starts drying out and needs to sit again. Thinning it a little helps, but with my preferred ratio being at least 70/30 it's not a solid out-of-the-box experience for me.

I'll certainly agree it's a convenient system, and like I said, it not only works better than any previous tank system ever did, it work pretty well in general I've found. Not perfect -- mildly-flavoured juices still come off even milder, and it's still a cool vape even at higher voltages, which is not ideal for me -- but a damn sight better than anything Joyetech has put out before that wasn't a regular eGo.

And of course, as I say that, I take a pull on the TV Bananas Foster I have loaded in my C just now and it comes up dry. Time for a few primer puffs. :)

So, just did a simple mod to the eGo-C atty head. I was getting wicking issues (what else is new?) even though I thinned down some juice with a little bit of vodka and it still wasn't performing well. So I cracked the atty module open, cleaned and dry burned the coil (it wasn't particularly fouled, glowed red on the second burn; I was just being thorough), yanked out the pitiful little wick Joye always puts in there and stuck in a piece of rolled and oxidized SS 320 mesh (already had some prepared for an experiment with a CE2 that is on hold 'til I figure out how to stop the entire damn wire burning through the plastic), split at the base so it covers a wider area of the coil. So far the thing is vaping really well, even chain vapes. Stuck it on the eGo LCD (unregulated so ~3.8V under load), vaping strong. VV @ 4.5V with an eGo adapter, no problem. 5V? Still going. Not gonna push it further than that for the moment (only have one more atty module left) but that's more than enough, 'cos the standard wick couldn't even dream of handling the juice load at 5V. It had trouble at 4.5.

Now this is using the thinner liquid so I'm going to have to try with a thicker juice, but so far so good. Not exactly the easiest way to get an eGo-C working well (well, the mod itself is pretty easy, it's just buying the mesh and going through the oxidation process that's a bit of a pain) but, well, there it is.

Huh. So it turns out the Lava Tube was fooling me. I wasn't actually going up to 5V in my tests -- and it turns out it was because I apparently didn't oxidize the mesh wick completely through, so the center of the wick remained unoxidized and conductive. That meant when I forked it to spread it over the coil it started conducting electricity, effectively lowering the resistance of the atty module from 2.2ohms to 1.6ohms and making the wick part of the coil. That would explain why it's hitting like a freight train even on the regular eGo battery :D The wicking however is still awesome -- got 70/30 juice in there now, still chain vapes without fail. I'm not gonna make that "happy accident" with the wick on the next one though, I probably created a hot spot on the coil, which isn't good. I'll remake it tonight and properly oxidize it throughout, then work on a video tutorial this weekend.
