Hi there, both a noob to vaping and to this forum, i've had an Ego-C in my hands for the last three weeks. I enjoy the vapong, but am frustrated by the leaking, and that's what brought me here. I've made sure of the snapping into place, of leaving space in the tank, and in inserting the tank upright to avoid trapping the air bubble. New tanks, atomizers, and combinations thereof, all with no success. I've also tried varying my inhalation practices. No luck. I really want this to work, because I enjoy the vaping and haven't touch a cigarette nor have I had any serious desire to since I started.

The fixes appear to be many, including getting clearomizers, soft caps, mods etc, but honestly I'm not looking to be a modding hobbyist, or look for specific gauge needles or whatever.

In your colelctive experiences what is the best fix to the problem? Or is the problem inherent irreparable in this product and should I look for something else?

Thanks guys. Looking forward to exploring this site further

Hi talion and welcome to ECF. Some love their Ego-C while others have the leaking problems. It seems leaking begins when the tank is less than 1/2 changing the pressure balance. I don't generally recommend new vapers to tanks until they've gotten the hang of vaping. I use cartomizers with a tank BUT began with cartos alone. There are great tanks out there and horrible tanks.

Good Luck.

A lot of problems I have heard about were related to how people were taking a draw from it. Slow and steady wins the race here, too much "sucking" and it pulls the liquid into the atty quicker then it can vaporize and thus the leaking. I see that you have tried tried adjusting your draw and still no luck and don't know much more personally, as I never had any problems with my eGos leaking. If you are exhausted with trying different things to no avail, there is a chance you have a dud. Maybe contact the vendor and see what they would be willing to do. Sorry I can't be of more help, but good luck there, mate!

PittBoss, yes, that's good advice and I am going to contact the seller, although my expectations for an exchange are low. For those of you who are suggesting cartomizers which ones might be best and most compatible for the Ego-C?

Thanks to all for the input

I would get a LR (low resistance =/<2.0 ohm) boge to start.

Welcome talion, if you are ordering some boges anyway you may want to get them to throw
in a LR ego vision clearomizer(stardust) too. They are about 5 bucks each but many folks like them
(including me) as they "do not" leak!(if put together properly).

My first one lasted about 2 months with regular cleaning and dry burning.

Leaking made the ego T's a no go for me. It can get messy and wastes good juice
once they start. Bottom caps are cheap but some work well, others not very long
at all. Thin juice and thick juice gives issues too. Too many variables to consider imo.

Edit, Lots of Canucks in the Canada forum too, check it out....
Cheers:vapor::vapor:

I will also say that my SO and I use stardusts (vision eGo) and still have the first 2 going strong, although again, no problems with leaking normally from any of the 4 eGos that are in rotation. Well, don't give up and give some cartos, a stardust and maybe check out gotvapes for a bunch of other nifty eGo equipment that work well! Good luck, mate!

The great thing about the eGo, is as others have said, you have tons of options. You don't have to stick with a particular type of atomizing device. I've used pretty much all the different types of these out there, and have been most satisfied with cartos and the new style clearos (ego W and CE4 - aka stardust). Most cartos, you can't go wrong with, though some are better than others. Clearos you do have to be fairly picky with, or you'll end up with something similar to what you have now. Shop around, try one at a time until you find what's best for you. Don't give up on vaping because of 1 device :)

My wife and I both have EGo-C (2 of them each) and have only had this prob. 2X in 3 months, and this is what I have found. If you have ever dropped the EGo-C check to see if the cone part where the tank pushes into is bent on the very edge. both time I found this and took the tank out and rolled the cone on a hard surface with alot of downward pressure from my hand to straighten it out and has been fine since. Might be worth checking. Just take the tank out and run your thumb and index finger from the fat end to the small end and see if there is a bump at the end. Hope this works for you
