ego C pass through battery - side botton light up?

I just received a two ego c pass through batteries. However, neither appears to be working (attached to USB or not). Does the button light up when pushed? Any other suggestions? The clearomizers are working on my old battery.

Should I just assume the batteries are bad?

I just got a new ego passthrough today; did you hit the button 5 times rapidly to turn off safety mode? It took me awhile to figure that out on mine...

Are they the new UPGRADE model?

I'm using the CE4+ clearomizers on the upgrade ego 650 mah pass through. I've only had it for half a day, but its keep me supplied.
