Hello Everyone!

I've only been vaping and using my eGo-T for the pass 2 weeks and loving it. Haven't had any problems. However, reading others complain about "lack of flavor" compared to cartos made me curious. I ordered some eGo cartos to see if there would be a difference. So far, all I can say is WOW! :w00t: Now I don't know if it's the cartos or the AVE Gorilla VG juice but man, it's tasty!

Anyway, a couple questions. How do I know when it needs a refill? Can they be cleaned?

Mind if I ask which cartos you ordered and where? I've been thinking about making that switch too

I like the ego mega carto better than others I've tried and it holds over 2 ml. It is a bit of a pain to refill being as you need a syringe but you don't have to refill as often as others. I've ordered some go-cartos that have a different design and hold 3ml of juice but they can only be used with Go-Go batteries. They have been getting great reviews but I haven't received mine yet.

Which one is that? Is that the ego specific cartomizer ?

I hope you have good luck with that. One of my friends bought it for the same reason. He's had a couple of issues, and the batteries concern me just a little. He had the charger problem you've read on the go-go thread. He's also had some wicking problems with those cartos. He can't take two or three drags off them in fairly rapid succession without the coil drying out.

My concern with the batteries is their circuitry. Of the four batteries my friend got, one will not cut off, one cuts off around 12 seconds, one cuts off around 16 seconds (and once in five tests, it refused to cut off), and one cuts off around 20 seconds (and that one might just overheat - its cut off is either not working or is malfunctioning). All four come off the charger at a higher voltage than I think should be right. Three of them come off the charger above 4.4 volts and one just under 4.4 volts. I would expect them to to be at full charge just under 4.2 volts. I forgot to inspect them for venting, but next time I see my friend, I'm going to have another look.

So far, though, none of the people posting in the go-go thread have reported any difficulties related to their batteries (besides the center post not being properly secured and causing the charger issue). I plan to keep an eye on that thread. I'm not buying the go-go system any time soon, but I might think about it when and if adapters become available. I hope you'll post in that thread how the go-go cartos treat you.

Question about the eGo cartomizers: Is the first disk inside with the 2 holes in it supposed to be replaced after filling?

When I got these, I watched a YouTube video to figure out (re)filling. It said that the square piece with the two holes could be replaced or left out. The person said it was to prevent you from getting juice in your mouth. I have used them with and w/o replacing it and not noticed a difference in performance. But, these are not my primary cartos. Maybe someone who uses them regularly will chime in.

After watching a couple of the videos of refilling the eGo cartomizers, I think I may have ordered the wrong/different kind. I got cartomizers that are just a straight, black tube, 1-7/8" long with no "cone" built in. They're pretty nice, great vapor, good flavor, and hold a bunch of juice. So far they are much better than the Boges I have or the CE2s I got awhile ago, and don't taste funny like the tank.

My order says "Joye 510 - Joye eGo Cartomizers 5-Pack."

Not the right thing????

Funny but when I first tried to use my ego carto I could not find anywhere to put the juice in. Took the mouth pieces out and saw that there were two chambers on either side of the carto, so I put my juice into the chambers - too much and it ran out and made a mess on my battery. Cleaned it up and vaped-the left over juice vaped real nice. So started dripping 3-6 drops down the side and vaping. Worked real good until I flooded it - think I blew the atty after while and I cut it apart to find I had been vaping thru the air channels. Found the little hole that needs to be opened to juice. Why can't they have directions for these things? And that hole really takes some force to open.
Don't know why they have to seal those thing completely when the first thing you have to do is figure some way to open them.
