ego cartridges?

In addition to a starter kit, some people recommended "buying juice"...

Does this mean that the ego cartridges are refillable? Is that pretty easy?

Is buying pre-filled replacement cartridges an option?

I'm using the eGo and would recommend the 510 cartomizers from eastmall. Read the others threads here about cartos in general.

I have the janty Ego and overall it is a great piece of Kit.

Batteries are the biggest advantage of this PV but once again the only gripe I have is the cartridges. I have a combinartion of prefilled and since I got into my Ecigs 2 weeks ago I have just started dripping to refill.

I must have a draw like a horse (I average a six second draw) and I only get three good Throat hits on one cartridge. I am assuming that the Atomizor drys out the top of the filler and the rest of the juice doesnt wicck through as when I take the cart of there is still loads of juice left.

Funny thing is I bought an Ego for a 63 year old 3 pack a day smoker and he gets through only 2 cartridges a day and is a very very happy man. He hasn't smoked in over 5 days.

Anyway, I ordered some cart mods from ZFM vapors and hopefully these will sort out this problem for me. This constant fiddling around is getting me down. I would be happy if I could get "just" 12 Consistent drags with moderate throat hit as opposed to the cuurent 3 to 4.

Sorry for venting.....other than that I am still a non smoker...Just maybe a bit spoilt.

Same prob here with the stock atty. But on cartos I get several dozen hits - each one lasts me 1-3 HOURS between fills.

Also are you using the manual or the auto? The manual is way better because you can control the heat timing for the perfect vape.

+1 on the ego/carto set-up.... i had atty's and carts with mods, but the carto is so much easier... fill em, forget em til needed...no leaks, no mess....such a great set-up....i use the 808 premium cartos but you need an adapter...the 510 carto might be the way to go.

Some of us cut the stock filler to about 1/3 " & I sit the ego upright bat. end down which works well.

Thanks for the tips. It is the manual battery that I have.
I already cut the filler in half and it is an improvement allright but for the reward of 3 to 4 good hits its a bit fiddly.

I have great hopes for the ZFM cartridge Mods.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for Cartomizers for the Ego or 510?

Count me as another vote for cartoz on the eGo. I drip at home but for "on the go" vaping, cartoz rock! I could never go back to cartridges at this point. Cartridge mods are too much hassle and very inconsistant at best.

I'm in the US and I order them in bulk from www.eastmall.net - Eastmall International Co.,Ltd, shipped from China. They have are the cheapest I'm aware of at the moment. I have no idea who might carry them in Europe or what duty/VAT you might get hit with getting them from China. The US doesn't seem to care (hence our spectacular trade deficit). They were marked as a gift, which I don't think will fly in the EU.

Avoid the stainless steel and pre-filled cartos - I tried both of those and they sucked. I think the ones I'm using are also referred to as the "soft tip" variety.

I have great hopes for the ZFM cartridge Mods.

If they work for you, they rock. I have a Tornado/Ego, and I cut the silicon cap from a mega cart (double the normal size) and superglue it to the top of the cart. I cut a circle is the top of the silicon, and I fill it right up to the brim with liquid; it never leaks, and every inhale is full and wet - two of those full carts will last me a day.

I don't know how long the cart will last, but I've been refilling and using the same cart for last two weeks, and it's neither loose nor showing any signs of giving out. I ordered five cartomisers the other day so I'll at least be able to compare the two, but I seriously doubt they'll be anywhere near as convenient or consistent as this ZFM.

Once you have the right cig and juice method (as I now do for myself) - you'll be a very happy bunny.

I have another brand 3 piece e-cig the DSE901. Very similar. So similar the 901 cartridge can be used in the 510 atomizer. I've had great luck with the straw cartridge mod as well as the ZFM mod. Check out the cartridge mod section of the forum and find tons of ways folks have tried to make the filler wick better.

Just a word of caution....I learned when I got my first kit that I can NOT use cartomizers. Call me crazy and Im not even sure why but they choke me to death. Even when I use the same juice I use to drip with that works juist fine for me, it chokes me out when filled into a cartomizer. I have no idea why, Ive even tried lower nic juice to refill with the same results so before you go buy a buttload of cartomizers, make sure you like them first. By all means try them with your first order but dont go hog wild stocking up. I would recommend buying as least 10ml of juice to refill your cartomizers with your first order. If you end up liking them and order more prefilled cartos, youll will still need the juice probably at some point in the future like if you run out and are waiting on an order or something. It keeps for 2 years.
