eGo CE4 Battery Info Needed

I bought an eGo CE4 starter kit that came with a battery, clearomizer and USB charger. The first thing I did was put the battery in the charger as I have read you should fully charge it and leave it plugged in several additional hours before you use it the first time. Well, what I noticed is that the LED on the charger never changes from Red to Green no matter how long the device is plugged in. So there is no way of knowing when its fully charged. The LED does turn green when the battery is removed, but is always red when one is plugged in (even over night)

I ordered a second battery and the same thing happens. So, it must be a issue with the charger.

The charger does seem to work as both batteries have had the blue LED flash five times and shutdown as they were depleted, and I charge them and they are fine. The thing is I don't know when they are fully charged. Does anyone know (roughly) how long it takes to charge these batteries with the usb port on a laptop?

Has anyone else ever had this problem?

I suggest U use a wall adapter with that USB cable charger...it will charge much faster..when I use just my puter and USB , I had the same issue as U....now with the wall adapater the charging time will vary from 2 hrs to 14 hours depending on how low, old, and the size of the battery...any B&M shop sells those wall adapters for $5...and here online for $4 USB Wall Socket Charger - 500mah your battery will show GREEN when fully charged..

Thanks! I see it has to be a 500 mah adapter, so I can't use my iphone adapter, correct?

Yes you can.

Reasoning for this is as if ego charger should cause trouble, it would not destroy the computer or expensive apple charger.

Good answer! Never thought of it that way. In any case, I ran down to the Flea Market and bought one from an e-cig vender. What's five bucks afterall? (Anything to get my batteries fully charged sometime soon)
