Well, batteries are going to wear down no matter how much you baby or abuse them, so no matter what they will eventually weaken/die/etc
As for an actual set lifespan, there is none. Your eGo's could die tomorrow or not for another decade. Some here have gotten DOA gear, others are still using the same stuff 5+ years later.

Chargers aren't much different, could die tomorrow, could last a decade, etc, etc.

Long post short; There's no set lifespan. As long as you don't abuse the crap out of your gear, it could last for years.

I'd grab another charger for back up. If you ever have a case to where the battery and/or charge is getting hot - some get 'warm' which is ok, I'd check the batt on another charger and another batt on the old charger to find what one is missing the overcharge protection, and throw that one out. I've had one case with 14500 to where the battery and the charger was heating up, so threw them both out. These are fairly rare occurrances - I've been vaping for over three years and the 14500 incident just happened last month.

What I've found with eGo's as far as total battery life goes, is when they're about to give it up, the led button will fade on activating it. Under new life that doesn't happen when it just needs charging but when older, every one of them I've had that has 'died of old age' has went that way.

Now that you mention this, I realize I didn't think as to whether or not the OP was talking about vaping lifespan or operational lifespan, so I shall have to clarify my statements/thoughts

Vaping lifespan(as in how much you can vape between recharges): I have an eGo-T 650mAh battery. From full charge to sleepmode, I'd have to say around 8 hours, and I vape quite a bit(former pack a day smoker)
Note: All batteries degrade over time/recharges, so vaping lifespan will reduce, but will take years before it would be noticible

Operational lifespan(how long the hardware lasts): God only knows. Could continue to work for a month, could work for a decade

Sorry for any confusion I may have caused, I claim derp-moment
