Any one know of where to get a good charger for the ego batteries? Not the cheap type that come in the kits, but a good relieable one. Something like the ones made for 510 batteries that can be used to charge upto 10 batteries a one time.
Been having problems with the wall warts and the usb cords. The usb cord that I got with my kit started flicking on/off with a little movement of the cord. Took a look at it and discovered that one of small wires in the usb cord was almost completely broken and the soldering was very poorly done. Fixed it and now work fine.
Today I was getting ready to charge a battery and the lights flicking on/off again. Tryed the usb part in another wall wart, worked fine. Opened the flickering wall wart and it looked funny inside, the little transformer part had some white foamy looking stuff coming out of it, looks like it could have been something melting. Some of the other parts didn't look that good either.
The other wall wart I have looks ok on the outside, but allows the usb plug to wiggle around abit and that leads to the battery charging led to go off if the usb cord moves. Seems that the batteries charge ok on it, just have to keep checking it to make sure it is still charging, couple of times I think the weight of my 1000 battrey causes it to loose contact. All so noticed that the usb plug cage looked a little rusted, don't know why it should or if it is really rust.
So right now I'm hoping someone might know of a better setup for charging ego batteries. If I have too, I'll order another wall wart from Madvapes, using the 2amp one right now as it seems to be a little bigger than the kit chargers.

1- ya get what ya pay for. If you buy off brand items, they will work as such, typically. 2- Noone is immune from defects. Even the best manufacturers/suppliers can have a bad run of stock. I personally done expect any bat or charger to last over 3 months (at least with my habits). If its less than that, it wasnt great quality, if 2 1/2 months less than that, Im getting an exchange. If I get 6 good months or more, I got a steal. Just dont convince yourself any one piece will last a lifetime, as you're sure to be let down every time.
I would figure a radio shack wall wart would work just fine, so long as it doesnt overload the usb charger, or allows for enough power. I just keep some spares to tinker with, and cover shipping back defects myself. This is just IMO..;)

That's why I'm looking for a different charger, seems the current ones sold are all the same, usb tied to a wall wart. Seems like the battery charger is the weak link in the ecigs right now. Got mods for every part but the charging - of course the real heavy users have moved to bigger mods with removeable batteries.
One question, will using the 2amp charger with a current ego usb charger cause any problems. It says 5volt at 2 amp, any reason to worry?

It is not really a charger, but what I did was get a couple of eGo passthru batteries... genuine Joye ones, not knock offs or Riva's .... They charge via a standard find-em-everywhere USB cable. I have since used my Xbox 360 and USB-wall outlet adapter with them. And since they are a passthru, you can use them while they charge. Pretty cool. Here is where I got mine (hit the drop down box for 1000 mAh models):

-- also -- in regards to a 510 to eGo adapter so you can use the 10 unit charger that was suggested - I hear it takes a very long time. If I am wrong please let me know.

Yea. I think they would take forever to charge on the 510 ten hole charger, but I wouldn't mine a ego one with just 2 holes. Mainly I'm looking for a better built charging system, I've had at least 2 of the usb cord parts get flaky and 1 of the charger stopped working correctly. One would think the chargers should cause the lest amount of problems - very few moving parts and low usage.
