Hi I've got a few Ego batteries and I've just "upgraded" to a Nemesis mechanical. I'm not too keen on the 4.2 volts dropping until I need a recharge so was wondering if I can use any bit from the Ego to help with voltage, charging, or protection?
The beauty of a mech is that there IS no electronics; it is unregulated and simple. Just monitor your voltage drop with a voltmeter until you get a feel for when you need to switch out batteries. The vape you are getting will tell you, too.
I'm looking for a consistent vape and with my 18350 battery (can't go bigger) draining so fast I can't really enjoy it as it changes so much with each pull. Can volt restrictors be had? I'm happy with anything below 4.2 as long at's it's fairly predictable until I need a charge, that's why I was thinking of using a chip or part from the Ego.
I've considered the kick but alas this makes the mod a lot bigger and if size didn't bother me I'd go with a Provari or similar. Can parts be used from the Ego battery?
Sorry brother. It just wouldn't work. The ego chip has the power button built into it, so you'd have to figure out a way to interrupt the current from the mod and hook it up to the chip using that as the switch (and somehow mount it to the mod in a way that is convenient to press) and maybe set the mod to autofire and a whole lot of stuff that wouldn't make any sense to do and would probably blow up North Dakota if you tried without some serious technical background.
We'll it is not entirely impossible. If you keep the entire ego head and just replace the battery casing and battery, you can do a lot with a 18350. There are a slew of mods done like this from small pipes to even a walnut. Sleazer from the German forum has done a bunch like this and many are also posted here on ecf.
I bought a ego batt this spring for use on planes that outputs 3.6v instead of the traditional 3.2. They still have their place in the world of vaping.
