I just got my ego the other day and discovered very quickly that the boge soft tip cartomizers make the ego a MUCH better vape than the atty/cart that came with it. I heard that cones can make the sound quieter and look better. My thing is, the boge is pretty short and from what I've seen of the cones, it looks like the boge would actually end up inside the cone when attached. Would I need a different type of tip for the boge carto or is there a tip that attaches to the cone? Never used one, curious how this would work.

Actually the boge cartomizer extends about .5 inch outside the ego cone so there is no problem with needing a tip to extend the length. I use a drip tip on my boge soft tips for easy refills, when it gets low I just squirt 4-5 drops and keep on vaping.

I use the cone for stealth vaping mostly. A LR carto on an ego makes quite a bit of noise. If there's no need for quiet vaping, I prefer to take the cone off.
I haven't used a boge carto. If it ends up being as short as you suspect, you can (if you have one) use a drip tip on it instead of the normal cap. A standard drip tip should work. I like using drip tips on my cartos, unfortunately I keep losing them. :(

Yeah, I'm using the LR boge cartos and they are quite loud. Luckily I work in a call center and it's already loud in here ;) Just have to hold it in until there's no smoke. I was basically told if they can see the vapor, then I can't use it. But there are times when I wish it wasn't quite so loud, though I have come to realize when it quits popping it's time to top it up. I've found a very useful tool for removing the soft cap on these cartos. Borrowed a bobby pin from my girlfriend and the bent tip works great. Almost as if it were made for it :) So no need for drip tips for me :) Glad to know they'll work with the cartos though. I'll have to see if I can find one so I can get it on pay day. Hope they have them in the matte black my ego came in.

Yeah, the Boge cartos extend about a half an inch. The only problem I have is that the cone barely fits over the carto, so I find myself vaping without the cone most of the time. The only fix I have found is to peel the black sticker off of the carto to allow more air in.

I have the same problem if the cone goes on first. Have you found an easy way to remove the sticker residue after removing the black sticker?

I still don't understand what the big issue with cartos and cones is about. I have three Riva 510s, and use cartos on them all with no problem.

Some of the Riva 510 cones have a bit larger diameter than the eGo cones and they work with cartos. But generally, the 510 cones were designed for atties, so even if they fit, the fit is too tight over a cartomizer. If you want a nice, unobstructed airflow, the 510 cone needs to be modified a bit.

I have problems with the black label on my boge cartos peeling back when I put them into the EGO cone over and over. If it gets too bad the carto will not go in.
