I was just wondering if the cone is a must have part to the ego, does it draw any different without it? I ordered two batts and a charger but didnt get the cones, so I'm just wondering if I should have ordered the cones?

It tightens the draw a little and the vapor is warmer because it pulls air from the top of the cone.

I am also using cartos on my eGo but the cone will not install along with them, what kind of cartos are you using? Maybe I got an off brand?

Some cartos are a tight fit with the ego cone. One thing you can do is peel off the cover on the carto so it will fit.

I use cartos 100% of the time, so I sanded about .060" off the samll end of the cone to make the cone opening bigger.

I like it better than peeling cartos because you only have to do it once. And it doesn't give you a metalic taste from putting your lips on metal.

I would diffinately use the cone. It keeps the carto warmer and gives the eGo style points for looks.

This is an old thread, but in case anyone is searching it, there's a HUGE difference with the cone. I'm using it with cartomizers and the pull is a lot harder, but I like it. The vapor seems a little thicker maybe. With the cone off, the pull was so easy I didn't really like it, and I felt like more air was getting mixed in. There are advantages either way but I recommend trying the cone, it's a different experience, and makes your eGo look classy as hell ;)

I would also mention that the Cone helps to protect the battery threads from damage.

If you have no Cone and you drop your eGo, the carto/atty can try to tilt putting force on the battery threads. With the Cone the carto/atty is supported.

If you want a lighter draw with the Cone, you can sand the end to make the diameter larger. Or you can buy a "Big Bore" Cone.

i would also agree with everybody else on this topic... its not a must have until you have it :p ... after that you just get used to the draw being a lot better... it a little bit harder draw but i like it cuz draws closer towards being an analog draw... but yea if you can get the cone then do get it cuz pretty sure you will love it...
and to add to that > your ego would look realllly nice and classy :)
just my 2 cents

With the cone on my Ego, it is slightly better, but not enough to make me use it much. It looks better that way, but the draw is only slightly better. It could be because I use carts vs attys, i am not sure. I hate attys so I don't use them enough to know if there is a big difference. The main thing I notice is less noise, but it isn't hardly noise without it either....
