Just a quick review here. I shouldn't even call it a review really.

Out of the box the batteries needed a charge so away they went. Once charged, the first thing I noticed is that the LCD screen has a narrow viewing angle. I actually can't read it head on. I have to rotate it and look at it from an angle. Not the slickest LCD screen, but I wasn't expecting much.

The screen displays battery life remaining, and how many drags you've taken since the last charge. Both are pretty cool features. Finally you can know how many drags you take in a day! Haha. There is also a cutoff, but it's quite lengthy - about 10 seconds. Five clicks and the unit will "turn off" as well, just like a Joye Ego-T battery (LCD even says OFF/ON when you do this). When plugged in, the LCD lights up and indicates it is charging. Nice way to know if your charger is doing its job.

The battery indicator might not be linear. I'm not sure, but it's already at half and I haven't used it much. If it is linear, then the battery doesn't last as long as a regular 650 MAH Ego.

One problem that has plagued me with a few Egos is the damn post in the connector. It's too damn low. Same with these batteries. I can't even use a Ego atomizer on them. I had to pry the post up ever so slightly, and it keeps setting itself down nicely beyond the reach of the atomizers connection. Regular 510 and the atties that came with the kit work, but barely. You have to screw them in all the way. I have to fiddle with them some more, because I'm a LR Ego atty .....

One last minor thing worth noting is that the base of the battery doesn't seem to be completely flat - it's convex. Stand it upright and it will wobble back and forth.

Really that's all I can say about it so far. As usual, quality issues usually show themselves after a few weeks worth of use. The atties that came with the unit are whatever. I think they are just 510's (I got the "classic" from elektrajuice).

I replied to this the other day but I don't know where it went. I certainly appreciated the review. But I can't tell from what you said if the atomizers that came with the kit are LR or SR. Also I'm kind of confused if 510 atomizers fit EGO(-T) batteries.

510 parts will fit the ego. Not all ego parts fit the 510. This is due to the big threads on the outer edge of the ego batt connector. You could think of it like this, the smaller top inner threads are 510 compatible, any 510 part will fit . The other threads are ego only. So if a part requires those larger diameter ego threads, they will not fit an ego threaded device. If that makes any sense....

I believe they are SR. Didn't feel like LR to me, and there was no "LR" marking on the connector.

I think you can get the LCD kit with the Kanger cartos. I wish I had done that because they are getting lot's of praise. Curiously their website doesn't say the Kanger kit is the LCD ego or not.

And the Ego-T batteries are just the newest Ego batteries. They fit 510 threaded atomizers as usual. There's nothing about them that makes them specific to the tank system.

Oh and it's not regulated. It performs just like a Ego battery where the voltage drops off shortly after a charge, and again, dramatically, near the end of its charge.

Then that would mean it is regulated no? That's why the booster only works with genuine egos and not knockoffs. Cause the voltage stays steadily regulated...

Wait what? Hmmm I dunno... I thought none of the Egos were regulated and that's why the voltage varies throughout it's charge. They start off at like 4.2v and taper off to 3.3 or something... and nearing the end of it's charge it drops off even more.

Someone with more knowledge with have to pipe up on that.

Well, I know about it. The genuine egos have a PCM built in. They stay at a steady rate and don't drop off. Not until 1 or 2 drags before the charge gives out and it dies anyway. The Rivas and other knock offs don't have the PCM, so they do drop off. From what I understand, first gen Rivas did have this, but they quit using them in the second gen. That's why the booster works with the genuine egos but not others. That's why I've been leery about trying this and other batts like the 1300 mah "ego" battery for fear of not being able to use my booster.

Your thinking of a Riva and some eGo clones.
eGo's are regulated to 3.2v - 3.4v
