Just a quick review here. I shouldn't even call it a review really.
Out of the box the batteries needed a charge so away they went. Once charged, the first thing I noticed is that the LCD screen has a narrow viewing angle. I actually can't read it head on. I have to rotate it and look at it from an angle. Not the slickest LCD screen, but I wasn't expecting much.
The screen displays battery life remaining, and how many drags you've taken since the last charge. Both are pretty cool features. Finally you can know how many drags you take in a day! Haha. There is also a cutoff, but it's quite lengthy - about 10 seconds. Five clicks and the unit will "turn off" as well, just like a Joye Ego-T battery (LCD even says OFF/ON when you do this). When plugged in, the LCD lights up and indicates it is charging. Nice way to know if your charger is doing its job.
The battery indicator might not be linear. I'm not sure, but it's already at half and I haven't used it much. If it is linear, then the battery doesn't last as long as a regular 650 MAH Ego.
One problem that has plagued me with a few Egos is the damn post in the connector. It's too damn low. Same with these batteries. I can't even use a Ego atomizer on them. I had to pry the post up ever so slightly, and it keeps setting itself down nicely beyond the reach of the atomizers connection. Regular 510 and the atties that came with the kit work, but barely. You have to screw them in all the way. I have to fiddle with them some more, because I'm a LR Ego atty .....
One last minor thing worth noting is that the base of the battery doesn't seem to be completely flat - it's convex. Stand it upright and it will wobble back and forth.
Really that's all I can say about it so far. As usual, quality issues usually show themselves after a few weeks worth of use. The atties that came with the unit are whatever. I think they are just 510's (I got the "classic" from elektrajuice).
