Ego LCD 1100mah Shows charging when not even plugged in

Yes you read the title correctly. I have a 1 week old Ego LCD 1100mah battery that has nothing attached to it (charger or carto/Atty) the lcd screen is constantly lit up blue and the battery symbol is racing upwards as it it was charging. When I connect a carto to it the button flashes 5 times and the LCD screen goes out. Push the button, screen lights up button flashes 5 times and.....nothing. Disconnect the carto button flashes 5 times screen lights up and starts to race upwards as if charging. Tried charging for about 3 hours to no avail. Any thoughts?

I would contact the vendor and try to get a new one to replace it. The issues with stick batteries it why I went over to box mods. I never have problems and the 2 I have VV.

The Ego is kind of a back-up. My usual PV is my Knight Rider / Lava Tube / L Rider which is fantastic I might add. Time to get a back-up for the back-up.
