I was having the same problem with those tank tip things. Also had poor vapor production and filling those tiny little tanks was annoying. The only way I could keep the tank tips from leaking was always standing the ego up on end which is not always possible. I ended up getting dual coil 5ml cartos from madvapes.com and they work much better. They are inexpensive $2.49 each and so far only 1 has failed after about 9 refills.

I have the type A ego-t and I am also having leaking problems with my tanks. It seems to happen when they are about half full and I have been vaping heavily then stop for a bit. I have tried standing it up which only seems to make it leak down into the chambers the vapor goes through, drinking nic juice if im not careful. I have tried the soft caps, hard caps, position of the unit and different juices... nothing seems to help :(
I love the idea of a tank but I don't know what else to do??? Did you ever figure out a way to stop yours from leaking?

I gave up and bought a bottom-feeder Reo Grande. :(

Those tanks (eGo-A and eGo-B) are also a real nightmare on hot summer days. That's when they really turn into the proverbial screen door on your submarine.

I did manage to minimize, but not eliminate, leaking by:

  1. keeping them business-end down when not in use (I know that's counter-intuitive, but it sort of works)
  2. taking very slow drags (otherwise you flood the baffling)
  3. using the soft-vinyl caps
  4. keeping them topped up and refilling frequently (which defeats the purpose of a tank)
This particular technology just isn't there yet, IMO.

hey guys, i am not using a ego t. i am using the regular style ego with the cotton stuff in the cartridge. i should also add that i vape heavily. i have 2 egos that i use back and forth to help the egos stay cooler and also to allow them to wick. but even using the 2 they do still get pretty warm.

is it possible that the heat from the atty is causing the juice to thin out and leak more easily?

is there something i could use to thicken up the juice to help prevent this?

i picked up some fluval and have been packing my carts myself. is it possible that im using to much or to little fluval?

I haven't messed with cart/atomizer setups too much to be able to give u advice on filling and whatnot. I started straight off dripping, but whenever I did try using carts I never had good consistent wicking. Then again, I went right to low resistance atties fairly early on. Sounds like you may be flooding it out.

Even though you may have to fill up more often, you have more control of your vape with direct dripping. I love the flavor of the ego mega type b atties, on first use id reccommend dripping around 7-10 drops first use and anywhere from 3-4 drops when flavor starts to weaken. Seeing as these atties hold so much liquid its good to blow them out every once in a while from the part you vape out of thru the battery dide. Juice tends to build up in there, get really gurgly and just end up leaking out. It might not seem like it now but I think dripping is way easier to get the hang of than using carts.

And +1 for the ego mega dual coil cartomizers, I bought 8 for around 20 bux over a month ago and I am still using and reusing these puppies. No cleaning, nothing - just refill after refill. thats if u have a genuine joye ego tho, I hear some ppl have problems with rivas and other ego clones making contact to the battery (requires modification or an adapter) good luck to ya!

The Ego Mega type B with the polyfill is sensitive to the amount of filler you put in the cart. Too much (tight) and you get dry vapes. Too little and you get flooding. I used to cut it to slip fit easily into the cart. That way, when you fill, you get a snug fit that wicks well, but doesn't leak. Experiment with the polyfill in bags from Walmart. Just make sure that you get the bag that does not have the disclaimer on the back telling you it's approved in the state of California. That one has fire ......ant chemicals in it!
