I have a couple of these Ego Mega atomizers (cylinder type). One always had wicking issues, and I just blew the coil in the other. Figured I should go about rebuilding them. I've rebuilt 510 atties without great difficulty, so something as spacious as these should be a cakewalk. Trouble is I'm not sure how to get them apart.
As best as I can figure:
The battery end of the cylinder has a large stainless cup in it. The battery connector pokes through a hole in the bottom of this cup. The cup is firmly attached to the walls of the cylinder with all kinds of surface area. There's nothing for me to grab onto to pull it out of there, so that doesn't look promising.
Instead, the best option looks like tapping on the battery connector to push everything out through the cartridge end. There's a silicone gasket between the mesh and the cylinder wall. Not really anything else holding anything in there on that end. So I tried that - wouldn't budge. Applied heat (soldering iron) to the battery connector to maybe loosen any adhesives holding it to the cup, but that didn't seem to improve anything.
Hmm...
Surely someone on here has tried this before, and might have some advise to give (a search yielded nothing of interest) before I have have to start thoroughly hammering on this thing.
