ego one charger specs

recently bought an ego one battery but without the charger. i didnt wanna pay extra for a tank i didnt want, so i skipped out on the kit and just bought the battery but it didnt come with a charger. i read on the joyetech website the charger is a 1A charger. thats 1 amp right? i have plenty of usb chargers and wall adaptors already from phones and older ecigs, but wanted to make sure im using the proper charger. right now its on plugged into a wall adaptor that has 5.0v 500mA output, so thats 0.5A, i tried using a different adaptor thats 750mA and the battery gets kinda hot around the base, and connected directly through usb plugged into my laptop it gets even hotter. im kinda freaked out about overheating it. what exactly r the specs of the ego one battery, and would it be fine on the other charger?

another thing i noticed, is it can be used as a passthrough, but when connected to the 500mA charger, using it while charging causes the base to heat up a little more.

The charger from my eGo one kit shows this on the wall adapter:

Input: 100-240V-50/60Hz 100mA

Output: 5.0V - 1000mA

Mine do get a bit warm when charging, but I wouldn't say they get hot. Hope that helps.

i found a wall adapter for my old phone that have the same specs. tried it out and it charges nice so far. using the 500mA adapter took like 4 hours to charge it. so much quicker now charging it straight from my laptops usb made it pretty hot, enough that my skin had a light tingle to it, sorta like when u leave ur hands under warm water. not too hot but feels good on ur skin. i think thats pretty hot for a battery though =/
